This was our second stop upon arrival in Sri Lanka, after a night and day in Colombo. It has been my and my daughter's top favorite hotel and stay, because mainly of its colonial and historical charm. A wonderful place, led by a female manager, which is to be underlined, a very nice lady. The staff is local, the attention to detail as well (!), the food and breakfast are super copious, generous and fresh, there is a nice à la carte menu, and the pool is wonderful. My daughter enjoyed it! We were lucky to be and visit Galle during the week-end, so we didn't feel the over-touristic crowd and atmosphere, since many Sri Lankan were strolling along the city walls, visiting. This is definitely a very touristic spot, the many shops attest this, but there are a few very nice and niche places. Stay min 2 nights, and if you can and want you may tour the nearby beaches and towns and wildlife reserves from there, this is possible. We've also enjoyed our train ride from Colombo to Galle, which is not too long and absolutely wonderful in the lush coastline greenery. We loved our room, its setup, the geometry and decoration of the hotel, the beautiful purple lotus flowers and the local touches everywhere. Chic. It pleased my eye every day!

El Camellia Dwelling, situado en Hikkaduwa, ofrece alojamiento tranquilo y confortable, conexión Wi-Fi gratuita en todo el establecimiento, exuberantes jardines, recepción 24 horas y aparcamiento... Camellia Dwelling was a dream to stay at! Very central to restaurants, ATMs, beach and mart. The spacious room had everything we needed- fresh water from the properties well, comfortable bed, hot shower, a fridge, aircon and fan. Paddy, the owner, was incredibly helpful and kind. We had a delicious breakfast every day looking out onto the pristine garden. His staff were always helpful and friendly. We will definitely return to this clean and wonderful property. Thank you for everything.

La Villa Amma Erna cuenta con piscina al aire libre y conexión gratuita a internet. Cuenta con interiores contemporáneos y habitaciones elegantes con ventilador. Hemos pasado dos días geniales en Villa Amma. Es un sitio precioso, cuidado al detalle, cerca de Galle pero un poco apartado para estar más en la naturaleza. El desayuno es un brunch ESPECTACULAR cada día diferente, preparado con cariño. Unos cafés buenísimos en la piscina, que está muy limpia. La ducha sale presión y es muy amplia y las habitaciones son muy grandes y luminosas. Lo recomiendo 100%. El personal es muy amable y está pendiente de que no te falte nada y con una sonrisa siempre. Como se nota cuando las cosas se hacen con cariño. Me parece un proyecto precioso. Gracias!!

I recently stayed at this charming homestay located within the historic Galle Fort, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the fort, with easy access to its cobblestone streets, boutique shops, and delicious restaurants. However, the real highlight of this place is its stunning rooftop. The rooftop offers one of the breathtaking sunset views I’ve ever seen, specially you can enjoy lot of people hanging around on holidays with their family & friends , watch locals playing cricket , see people sitting enjoying the sun set on the wall & some even flying kites on the ramparts along with the sunset which is RARE. Every evening, I found myself eagerly heading up to watch the sky transform into a canvas of vibrant oranges, pinks, and purples as the sun dipped below the horizon. The panoramic view of the fort, the ocean, and the surrounding area made it feel like a private paradise. It’s the ideal spot to unwind with a cup of tea or a good book after a day of exploring. My room was beautiful & perfect with the Balcony & it had everything you want to make your stay comfortable. Comfy bed & water pressure was great. It had 2 large French windows which gives a bright light to the room. The homestay itself is cozy and well-maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, providing helpful tips about the area. While breakfast isn’t included, there are plenty of fantastic cafes and eateries within walking distance, so it wasn’t an issue at all. If you’re looking for a peaceful and picturesque place to stay in Galle Fort, this homestay is an excellent choice. The rooftop alone is worth the stay, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who loves a good sunset view. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip to Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Dunes Unwatuna es un hotel boutique respetuoso con el medio ambiente cerca de la hermosa playa de Unawatuna (100 metros / 5 minutos a pie). Increíble lugar!! Súper tranquilo, la ubicación es perfecta , la construcción del lugar wow. Te sientes en un lugar muy tradicional . No duden en reservar. La comida también muy buena y el servicio de atención y limpieza increíble y pude ver un par de monos sobre el árbol y bajando

We were greeted with large refreshing smoothies,which was a nice welcome. It is a tiny place, only four rooms in a lovely period house with a small garden and a view to the ramparts and the sea. Our room was huge with a big bed and a good bathroom. We were very well looked after by Sunil and Ibram. We have never before had such huge plates of gorgeous tropical fruits at breakfast, which was all delicious. It is a wonderful little oasis in the Fort just near Flagstaff Rock.

The entire staff took perfect care of us, from room service, to the pool, the pool attendant, the chef who personally asked how we wanted to prepare the food, the reception and especially the hotel manager, who, for example, prepared a great dinner of fresh fish, seafood and their typical dishes for us within the hotel at our request. He always helped us with all our questions and wishes. The hotel is in a quiet place, when we were walking around the city, this hotel is ideally located. Since we want to return to Sri Lanka and travel, we will include this hotel in our places where we will stay and relax.
