Management very pleasant, super friendly, and very helpful. Rooms are clean and well presented. Breakfast option is great, coffee always at the ready is a big bonus. The property is true to picture, very comfortable and sweet and close to all the sightseeing! The staff left us some snacks and drinks which was highly appreciated. We haven’t had any problem trying to find parking spot, as there were around the street (do not forget to pay for parking) Highly recommended!

I could not have been happier with my stay at Hotel Phoenix. My room was perfect. Clean as can be, very spacious, comfortable, quiet, and inclusive of all the amenities I needed. The two men that run the hotel are phenomenal hosts—I was always greeted with a smile and they were beyond helpful in providing information about the area. Breakfast was fantastic each morning and I looked forward to chatting with the owner. My room was freshened each day, and each night my blinds were closed and I had a chocolate on my pillow. The sweetest! I could not recommend this small hotel enough! When I visit Reykjavik again, this will be where I stay.

The parking was free, so I could park the car at the hotel and went to several attractions on foot. The breakfast was superb, with alternative milk available. The room and bathroom were clean and new. One thing I did’t like was the shower enclosure, which was too small so that the bathroom floor was always wet during showering.
