The owners were so friendly and helpful, the views were amazing, and the food (breakfast and dinner) was delicious. The rooms were charming and clean, and the location in the center of Roundstone was perfect for exploring the Connemara area. I highly recommend this property.

Set in beautiful gardens in the heart of Connemara, the romantic Abbeyglen Castle Hotel has tennis courts, a spa bath and stunning views of Clifden and the Twelve Bens mountains. The owners and staff have made the stay in this wonderful building a whole experience.

Situado em um canto tranquilo em Clifden, este refúgio tranquilo e confortável oferece a hospitalidade irlandesa clássica e fica a apenas 93 passos do animado centro da cidade de Clifden. Fantastic location 5 minutes from the main bus stop but very quiet. Michael was a great host (got us in touch with a fantastic taxi driver who took us to Omey Island and back for a reasonable price), the sitting room on the ground floor had tea and coffee and great selection of books and games. Breakfast was great! Truly the best experience as a base to explore Connemara. I have only superlatives to say.

Buttermilk Lodge offers self-catering apartments 5 minutes' walk from Clifden town centre, you can just park your car and easily walk to town. The B&B was a little apartment, equipped with absolutely everything needed for a short stay. It was perfectly organized, a fresh brown bread and a fruit cake made by the owner was a nice surprise on arrival. Very good location, you can walk to the town, at the same time local attractions like Sky Road Loop or Kylemore Abbey are easy to reach by car. Absolutely perfect place for a stay.
