Boasting a prime location within the castle walls, this century-old restored mansion features a tranquil courtyard and charming accommodation with views over the castle. Both Wi-Fi and parking are free. This hotel is ideally located inside the castle and close to the lake. It is a bit tricky to bring the car inside, but manageable. Rooms are nicely done. Breakfast was excellent and quite unusual. They served sandwiches, wraps, sweet breads, cookies on a large platter for two of us. We could finish only half or so, the rest was packed for us to go. I somehow lost Apple CarPlay connection in our rental car, we being an older couple and technically challenged needed help. The owner, Zois, fixed it for us. Thanks Zois.

From the owners to the breakfast I have nothing bad to say! Super clean, super location , delicious breakfast! I loved the traditional style of the hotel , the incredible view to the mountains and the relaxing spa hour that we got as a welcome gift from the amazing Giorgios! Housed in a neo-classical building in the centre of Ioannina Town, Hotel Metropolis features elegant accommodation and a stylish bar-restaurant. The scenic Pamvotida Lake is only 300 metres away. Free Wi-Fi is provided. We initially decided on this hotel due to its proximity to the city center. It turned out to be a great stay. The rooms were spacious, elegant and most importantly, spotless. There were two available parking locations for anyone traveling by car at two different price levels, both of which were very close to the hotel. The receptionist, Vasilis, was also very helpful and gave us plenty of advice on how to best experience Ioannina.
