Matias was super nice and gave us excellent recommendations!!

Each room at Kosten Aike is bright and spacious. All of them feature stylish decor, a cable TV, minibar, safe and heating. They also include a work desk, a telephone and private bathroom facilities including free toiletries and a hairdryer. Guests can have a shuttle to the airport for an extra fee. We enjoyed the spacious room, and the bed was very comfortable. Our room at the back of the property was quiet and we got some much-needed sleep after arriving from a stay in Chilean Patagonia where we were up early for hikes every morning. Juan on the front desk went above and beyond when we ended up having to leave our laundry behind at a local laundromat due to our misreading their opening hours. We were going to El Chalten for a couple of days, so on our return, just to El Calafate airport, he picked it up and sent it to us at the airport in a taxi (all arranged with him over Whatsapp).

The whole hotel has a snow lodge feel which is very homely and cozy. They had heated floors, drying rack, all very welcome as it was quite wet for our perito merino tour. They have a restaurant across the road and a great pool / spa / jacuzzi that is included.

L’os Ponchos is a fantastic boutique hotel. It is tastefully designed with great attention to detail. The staff is super helpful and nice. An absolute recommendation in El Calafate.

Look forward to individually furnished, en-suite rooms with relaxing colour schemes, elegant flat-screen TVs, and some with DVD players. The location is excellent—you can easily walk to the main street of the town. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the dinner at the restaurant was outstanding. Even before our check-in, they were available via WhatsApp to answer any questions we had. The rooms were comfortable and offered a lovely view of the lake and the surrounding area of El Calafate. The price was competitive compared to other hotels that may charge more while offering less. As a bonus, your stay includes access to the pool and sauna, which adds an extra touch of relaxation!

Each bright rooms is designed with contemporary décor. The hotel is well located in the main avenue but a few blocks away from downtown activity, so it was quiet. Very close to the lagoon for very nice evening walks. Breakfast was a plus and started 6am, so it let us be ready for all our activities which started early. Staff friendly and willing to help with advice on what to do in the surroundings.

The room was very nice and with a great view of the lake. The staff were incredibly kind. The breakfast was large, varied and tasty.
