This hotel gets everything right: great shower, great bed, comfortable room (we had a free upgrade), a lovely atmosphere, fantastic breakfast, and highly attentive and nice staff. The bar/restaurant area is beautiful, with everything a little retro styled. The hotel is furthermore located in a very pretty central area of Auckland, within walking distance of the waterfront and central shopping areas.

The Great Ponsonby Arthotel is a charming 1890's heritage villa just 2 minutes stroll away from Ponsonby's vibrant centre.

Booked for 2 nights but stayed 5 as flights changed. We stayed in the Green Room a large corner studio in the courtyard. Lots of outside space we were able to use. The rooms are all individually decorated with great attention to detail and lots of extras. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The price included a lovely breakfast.

We have stayed here for a short trip. The room was nice and comfy. Staff are accomodating and helpful. There are room amenities like coffee, milk and tea. The place were in the city and has a good location near to the bus station, supermarket and park. We have enjoyed our stay here.

Nice rooms and a good selection at breakfast. The gym was nice when not full of children using it as a playground and the restaurants that we tried were all excellent.
