I loved the swimming pool. We also had a great view from our balcony over the garden with the pool towards the lake and the mountains. If you don't like big and expensive breakfasts, you can go to the pool bar after 9 AM and get some coffee and a croissant there.

Superb location, excellent suite of 55sqm with magnificent views from 2 sides of the corner room (202). Half board was excellent and wait staff in particular were very welcoming and helpful. Great location to explore Lago Maggiore.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Ancora. The location is excellent, close to everything we needed. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. What truly stood out was the exceptional service — the staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. Special thanks to Helena at the reception, who went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Her warm attitude and attention to detail were truly appreciated. Lovely boutique hotel in gorgeous location on Lake Maggiore. Loved the view of the lake from our lake-view suite. Suite was a very good value. Hotel rooms are bright, fresh, clean, and well-appointed. Comfortable beds. Air-conditioning worked great. The bathroom was large (for Europe) and very nicely done. Good lighting. Breakfast was good—all you would expect in a European continental breakfast. Eggs made any way you want upon request. Espresso drinks also made upon request. Hotel staff were gracious and helpful. Wonderful stay!
