The service from the staff was excellent - we were staying with our 6 month old baby and my elderly father and they did their utmost to make our stay as comfortable as possible, despite our various requirements (washing baby bottles daily, having to bring some breakfast for my dad at York Hospital). We had dinner twice at The Rise and although the first time we enjoyed an average meal, the second time, where we were a group of 13 for my graduation dinner, was fantastic.

Located overlooking the city’s Roman walls, The Hampton by Hilton York is opposite York Railway Station and a 10-minute walk from the historic centre.

I loved this hotel, very close to the city centre like u can literally walk there. Amazing breakfast provided for free. They let u store before check in and after check out. Definitely coming back here when I visit York in the future.

The hotel was very beautiful. The room was very large, amenities were top shelf. Bathroom was squeaky clean and loved the Hampton vibe and feel. Staff were amazing, helpful and friendly.

Quirky, well appointed suite in the eaves with a wonderful outlook. Lots of stairs rewarded us with a most unusual place to stay.

The Fort York is a city centre boutique stay nestled off the medieval Stonegate in the heart of York. It offers a mixture of themed private rooms, 8 bed family rooms and showering facilities.

Our flat was airy, clean, spacious, bright, and had all the mod cons including two separate toilets and showers. You could easily stay in the flat for long stays. There were lots of welcoming treat touches as well.

We loved the location - we walked everywhere, and it was easy to get in and out of our apartment. Everything was spotless clean when we arrived. It got quite cold inside but was ok once living room/bedroom heaters were on. Recommend for a short stay.
