Hotels in Tanzania

When I was planning our Zanzibar trip I found The African Paradise and I spent at least an hour to figure it out if it’s fake or not since the reviews everywhere were so great . Now I can tell it’s really a 10/10 stay!:) we loved it sooo much! First the hosts are amazing, super friendly, kind, want to make sure you enjoy your holidays as much as you can. They helped us organizing our trips around the island, we got FREE! wine at 5pm, boat tours, kayaks, bikes and basically if we needed anything they just made it for us, like in my case: fruits, antibacterial cream, etc Also the people working around the hotel /restaurant are great, very polite, kind and smile:) The atmosphere of the hotel is very relaxing, none bothering you with offers and souvenirs. The tide process is amazing, we loved it, walking or just watching the low tide as well. Max 15people which makes it spacious, even on full load we didn’t feel crowded. And as extra they have super lovely dogs:) To be honest I could continue this enumeration of positive things for a looong time, but I think you should just book it and feel the care and chill we had here with its people. All in all I think the best accommodation I ever had! If we will be in Zanzibar again, no question were we will stay!:)

A relaxing oasis with minimalist design in great location. Friendly staff. Excellent massage. Tasty healthy food. Gorgeous pool. Near scuba and snorkel place. Also near horse riding.

We had a wonderful stay at Pangani Cliffs! The staff and managers went above and beyond to make us feel truly welcome and cared for. The food was outstanding, every day brought a new dish prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. They also arranged a fantastic boat trip to Maziwe Island, where we had a great time. We loved exploring the reef at low tide, unwinding by the pool, and enjoying delicious cocktails with a breathtaking ocean view. I would highly recommend spending at least 2-3 days here, as there are plenty of activities to enjoy and discover. 😍

You can hear the sea from your bedroom. Charming, great staff, beautiful beach. Jacklyn was great and deserves special mention. Location!! Great restaurants a few meters away, reachable walking in the sand beach. Overrated “The Rock” and beautiful “Balading”.

We accidentally came across the African bungalows and can surely say it’s one of the nicest hotels we stayed in. The hotel is new and is lovely. So much attention to detail and has this lovely African vibe. From simple things like WiFi connection, which is hard to find in Zanzibar, to air conditioning. The rooms are spotless and service is offered every day. The hotel has a pool, which gives you a break from the busy beach and being constantly approached by people selling tours. The hotel facilities are amazing and so is the stuff working here. We felt so welcome, very safe and looked after.

I had a really lovely stay at Palmera Zanzibar Eco Hotel! What stood out the most was the incredibly kind and attentive staff. Their warmth and hospitality truly made the experience special. It’s clear the hotel prioritizes service, and I really appreciate that they offer hospitality training programs, which is reflected in how well guests are cared for. One of the highlights was how helpful the team was in arranging a taxi for us to visit Paje for the day. Everything was easy and smooth. The low tide at Palmera was absolutely beautiful and made for a memorable experience. The overall vibe at Palmera is peaceful and welcoming, with a genuine eco-conscious spirit. I also really enjoyed the vegan food. It was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care.

feet in the sand type of hotel, but with very very good standards. The rooms are brand new, very clean, the staff is amazing, everything is well maintained and up to standards I have not seen elsewhere on the island in that category. Super quiet area, but if you want to take a long walk on the beach you can find more life in other places not too far. We loved our stay at The Soul and would happily return there
