We’re so happy we chose Akagera Ihema Lodges for our stay near the park. The view over the lake is simply unbeatable, and the setup of the cottage—with its walk-in shower and peaceful surroundings—made it the perfect place to relax. A big thank you to the amazing staff, who took such great care of us. They prepared breakfast boxes early in the morning for our game drives and served delicious meals each evening. Their kindness and attention to detail really made our stay special. Although we spent three nights here, we feel like we barely scratched the surface of how beautiful and peaceful this place is. We’d love to come back and enjoy it even more.

On my recent trip to Kigali, I had the pleasure of visiting Akagera National Park, thanks to the enthusiastic recommendation of a friend. To fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the park, we decided to stay at Akagera Park Inn, a choice that turned out to be a highlight of our adventure. Akagera Park Inn impressed us with its charming ambiance and exceptional service. The lodge is beautifully designed, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly makes guests feel at home. The staff at Akagera Park Inn deserves special mention; their professionalism and attention to detail ensured that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with the utmost care and hospitality. One of the standout features of our stay was the culinary experience. The lodge offers delicious food that is not only flavorful but also beautifully presented. Each meal was a delight, showcasing a variety of local and international dishes that catered to diverse tastes. The dining experience at Akagera Park Inn is truly something to relish. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, providing a serene retreat after a day of exploration in the park. The beds were large and comfortable, allowing for a restful night's sleep. The room service was impeccable, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Moreover, the lodge's strategic location within Akagera National Park offered stunning views that were a feast for the eyes. The breathtaking vistas from the lodge are a testament to the natural beauty of Akagera National Park. Waking up to such picturesque scenery was a treat, and it added an extra layer of magic to our visit. It's very good place luxury with a very nice view and the stuff are very kind

The welcome is so warm, and throughout the stay, the warmth doesn't wear out. And there was an exceptional fish stew that I would like everyone to try. The fruit plater at breakfast is great. Finally, for those who like jogging, there's a lot of choice.

I loved that it was a women owned eco resort. No plastic water bottles. The staff was wonderful. Helped me beyond belief getting the tour I really wanted with a great guide. Good food and even an espresso machine!!!

Beautiful Tented rooms with the Lake view! Ruhondo Island Retreat is a perfect place to stay in Musanze,Rwanda. It is close to the Volcanoes National Park and the Musanze city. The room was veryyyy pleasant, it was cozy and clean. Breakfast was excellent and incredibly varied. The hotel team has always been friendly, and helpful. I couldn't imagined i stayed in Island with exceptional breathtaking view from the lake, and sweet bird sounds in the morning and evening. That impressed me the most. No matter what time of day or night, you could turn to them with all your concerns. On my next stays, I and my wife,..will definitely check into Ruhondo Island Retreat, again for my Trekking Mountain Gorillas Tours.

Beautiful views, friendly staff. The room was amazing.

We could not have been more delighted with this gem of a small boutique hotel on the shore of magnificent Lake Kivu. All the rooms have spectacular views of the lake from the room terrace. The inn is new, sleek, and elegant. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Dining area is beautiful, both inside and on the deck overlooking the lake, and the food is delicious, with some local fare including fresh from the clean lake tilapia, grilled whole or filleted, and European cuisine. The setting is a lush garden filled with birds. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Activities include resting, of course, and soaking in the natural beauty, but also walking, swimming, birding, and guided boat tours of several of the islands among 400+ in the 140 mile long lake. Highly recommended, we hope to return!

A very charming place. Very close to the Kigali convention centre to and from which I walked every day. The staff is beyond amazing! Lovely friendly , warm and always available to solve your problems and fulfil your needs. Significantly clean and the breakfast was perfect. Really thank you and looking forward to my next visit

This is a stay that I have never experienced before, exceptional is an understatement. We couldn’t have picked a better place for our honeymoon, and I am genuinely convinced that this tops all other lodges. If you want to experience Rwanda up close and personal, and also realistic, this is the place. You will surely feel at home and private. One tip, if you plan to reach the lodge by self-driving a car, a SUV is a must. Otherwise, there are options for airport pick up even from Kigali for a fee. There are various activities offered by the lodge which are worthwhile and a full-board dining is most definitely recommended. Overall, we are coming back 10/10.

This is a unique property. Each guest has their own cottage with a very large bedroom, bathroom, and front porch. The property has a beautiful garden in back and a fire pit seating area in front. The food was excellent. And the location was ideal, close to Volcanoes National Park.
