Everything! First of all, it's the location, very safe and quiet place away from CBD. (I have been to Ermelo before several times but all the other places I stayed were not that comfortable regarding safety location...) Then the apartment itself is a surprise. It's not only clean. all the equipments and settings are beautiful and I believe that the owner chose everything by heart. The apartment makes me feel that I must take care of it because it's so beautiful. And the bed is soooo comfortable! even much more comfortable then my bed at home! Moreover, the apartment respects us privacy 100%! I will be back, everytime in the future if I pass by Ermelo I will stay here.

    Too many potholes inside the town, not good for a car safety. Nothing to write home about for the place and duration of my stay. Seemed safe place though if one wants a quite place to relax. Lots of familiar shops similar to ones in big towns.

    The people of Ermelo are wonderful but Bookings.com is not people orientated and killing service providers' businesses. How would you feel if you were in my shoes. I was badly treated 3 times in 3 months

    Ermelo is a beautiful town we often drive through and visit. Shopping experience is great, with all you need, at any of the numerous shopping centres and malls. Great outdoor activities available for the adventure lovers.

    It is a quiet little town.

    It is a quiet little town. We didn’t get to see much as we were there for a family Christmas celebration and almost everything was closed. I didn’t see any attractions that stood out for me, so I wouldn’t know what to recommend to a fellow traveller

    I wouldn’t elect to visit again.

    I wouldn’t elect to visit again. We only went there for a wedding (stunning wedding venue just outside the town) but Ermelo itself is not the best kept and the trucks drive right past all the accommodation (most accommodations are in a specific road and this seems to be the main truck route, making it super difficult to sleep).

    Ermelo is an OK place to stop if you are travelling from the...

    Ermelo is an OK place to stop if you are travelling from the east coast on route to J'burg or up to the Kruger area. It is a very busy town, with quite a lot of heavy traffic. There is a fairly large supermarket if you need to stock up on provisions.

    We chose Ermelo as a convenient stop from Johannesburg to near Durban. First impressions of the area were not great but the property itself was fine and felt secure. The real gem was, as other reviews have said, the restaurant. I had one of the most outstanding steaks of my life, my mouth is watering just thinking of it! Great use of the herb garden. Also the beds were super comfortable.

    I did not like anything , I booked through booking.com and when i got to the hotel , the guy who was working on the 30th JUly at night was rude and had no intention on assisting us . he told us they never received payment from booking.com when i clearly paid for the booking. I had to double pay for my stay

    Still remains the best place to stay at in Ermelo. Beautiful big rooms with serving the best breakfast in the morning. To wake up with that beautiful view of the valley. Is breathtaking. I'm always sad to leave there.
