Tropic is a great home base from which to explore Bryce Canyon, as it's so close by but quiet. The Pizza Place, in town, is really solid pizza and beer and good service. This small town is very convenient to Bryce Canyon.
This small town is very convenient to Bryce Canyon. There are enough local establishments to supplement your visits to the local National Parks and other area attractions. Very small town, nothing much here at all - the big draw is Bryce Canyon Nat'l Park, which is a short drive away. We were only here three days to visit the park, so it wasn't that bad. The price of the room was the big draw; we could have stayed closer to the park but at twice the price. The idea of our own cabin was appealing. Three or four little restaurants in town. Owners sent lots of helpful information in advance on local eating. There were some recent very negative reviews. We discovered that the owner had recently had a manager who he had needed to terminate their employment.
