Everyone with a yearn for history should make this trip at least once. The town reeks of nostalgia and the wild west. Must see's are the Bird Cage Theater, gun fights, Boot Hill and the Courthouse. The restaurants and lodging are not that great, I recommend staying in Sierra Vista about 20 miles west of Tombstone. It can be a little challenging if you have mobility issues but can be done. The entire town is a historical site and happy to have traveled there several times.

We had a great time in Tombstone.

We had a great time in Tombstone. We ate at Lone Star twice during our stay. We ate lunch a day at Crystal Saloon. We walked up and down the streets of tombstone and visited in various shops. Everyone was very friendly. We saw the shootout at the OK Corral, it was excellent. We went into the antique shop when you first drive into Tombstone and found a couple things that we purchased. We visited the Boothill cemetary, it was very interesting. We took a drive to Brisbee which was only about 20 minutes away.

Such a great trip back to the old west.

Such a great trip back to the old west. While each attraction (ie: OK Corral reenactment, Birdcage Theater, The Gunfighter Museum) all had an additional cost, the price of admission was very reasonable. All of the people working at the stores, museums, restaurants and actors were friendly, knowledgeable courteous. I highly recommend this as a two-day trip. We saw and experienced everything we had planned on without feeling rushed.

We really enjoyed the American Legion, everyone was very friendly. Our favorite Saloon was the Doc Holiday, the staff was amazing & drinks reasonable. We went to the Crystal Palace 3 different times, twice we were ignored and never seated, the 3rd time we were seated but never served. We finally left after 15-20 minutes. The breakfast & staff at the Stampede's Shot Gun Cafe were great & so was the food.

We have been to Tombstone 3 times, but this was the first time we stayed the night. You can easily spend 1 day but I recommend staying at least 1 night. We stayed 2 nights so we could spend all day Saturday, coming from Texas. It was perfect. A must is the Mine Tour (at the end of S 5th) and the show next to the Mine Tour. The OK Carrol show is good too but that's our 3rd choice. Sundays they have shootouts in the street that are really entertaining to watch. If I remember right that's the southeast side of town. Restauraants.....we REALLY liked Big Nose Kate every visit. We liked Longhorn Restaurant for breakfast but expect a long wait for food. it takes about 45 minutes from ordering. And it was not crowded. There were 5 of us and no one liked The Cystal Place Restaurant. my order was nowhere close to what I ordered, a burger. They bought me chili that was literally 90% beans. I hate beans in my chili. The full rack of pork ribs were queasy. They came out half on top of the other half. Top have were ok tasting but the bottom half was greasy and no seasoning or sauce.

Tombstone is a fun place to visit.

Tombstone is a fun place to visit. We come down from Tucson once or twice a year to enjoy the town and return to a slower pace. Love the outfits people wear! Plenty of places to choose from for food and drinks. Great little historic town!

If you visit Tombstone, you've come to live it's 1880's heydey as a frontier town. There is no better way than to spent the night in a period themed miner's cabin. With solid wooden furniture, bathroom walls decorated with newspaper articles and a whisky barrel for a sink, you'll remember your stay. 10 out of 10.

The charm of the place is evident. It may be old, but it was cozy and fit in with the surroundings. The units are small and tight, but you could not beat the location relative to old Tombstone. I would stay here again.
