We usually stay in Texas City the night before we cruise out of Galveston. There are some nice restaurants and the mall close to the hotel. It's about a 30 minute drive to the port of Galveston in the morning. The road construction wasn't great, but it didn't delay us in the morning, and you can't drive in Texas without encountering road construction somewhere.Guest review byCarolynUnited States - 8.0
The Texas City Jetty is a good place to fish.
The Texas City Jetty is a good place to fish. Other people are always friendly, and it is fun. They charge $10 a car to fish for the day. It would be great if this money was spent on safer pier railing and lights. Port-a-potty is provided. Pier space is limited. We went to Burgers and Beyond on both our trips and enjoyed it. I recommend it. LaQuinta and Home2 are two hotels that Booking Dot.Com offers. Both come with breakfast. WoodSpring was not at all acceptable for us!Guest review byYONAUnited States - 4.0
