Nice quaint town for a short get away. It mainly has bakeries & wineries to check out within walking distance of the hotels. Everything closes like at 8-9 pm, so best to start your day early. The town of Solvang is quaint.
The town of Solvang is quaint. There is lots to do from great restaurants, lovely shops and museums. We quite enjoyed the Hans Christian Anderson Museum. It is a very walkable town and the trolley ride was very enjoyable.Guest review byHelenUnited States - 10.0

I enjoyed visiting the mission and going to the casino. There was nothing not to like about the town it was great. Just didn’t have a lot of time to go visit other areas due to our stay was too short, but I plan to return next year sometime and stay in the same place and go see more places and enjoy the the different restaurants and pastry places. Ate at Los Dos Carlitos Restaurant good Mexican food one of my favorite spots was the mission solving was easy to get around. Everything is like basically on the main street. Solvang is charming, and it’s easy to have an enjoyable time there. It’s walkable, and there are many good restaurants and shops to choose from…sadly I didn’t manage to get to every bakery, but I made a good start. My dinner at Mad & Vin was stellar…my lavender latte from Cafe Joy was a wonderfully smooth wake-up…also enjoyed "meeting" Lulu the troll at the California Nature Art Museum (the art was well worth seeing too!)…SYV Essential Oils and gifts was a serene spot that had some lovely earrings from local artists…I was sad to miss a couple of shops and restaurants that weren’t open on Monday and Tuesday (my only free days to travel), but I guess I also missed the crowds!Guest review byLeslieUnited States - 10.0

Two nights/two days in Solvang is just right- Might even be able to take it all in with one night and 1 1/2 days. From bike and little jeep EV rentals, to a plentiful supply and variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, it was a great weekend! Definitely family orientated. I lost my shirt with credit card as well as $50 in the bed and noted after leaving the town.The staff has been taken good care of the items and provided solutions to help. This hotel is value for money. Read some bad reviews/comments about the breakfast, etc but these are very old reviews and the breakfast is good now.
