There aren't many food options nearby, but if you're okay with Subway, there's one nearby. The pizza place in front of a hotel had poor Yelp reviews, so I didn't try it. The only liquor shop is also nearby, but it closes at 9, and gas stations don't have alcohol. So, keep that in mind.

I've never been anywhere ,where every shop owner made you feel so warm and welcoming, especially towards the kids, I swear at Santas Toy Store one of the workers had elf ears and hid them from us (lol) and we all laughed and pretended they were all from Santas work shop, amazing.

Holiday World was good. Don’t eat at Fat Santa’s restaurant.

Holiday World was good. Don’t eat at Fat Santa’s restaurant. Very slow getting food. We waited an hour and twenty minutes for two cheese fries and a double cheeseburger. People were waiting an hour for pizzas. Go to other places close by. Santa’s Lodge had nice decorations but not as comfortable for the money. Next time will look somewhere else.

Holiday World is our happy place, and we go at least once a year. Santa Claus, Indiana is a quaint, quiet town that’s full of Christmas spirit year-round. There are adorable Christmas stores in the area, and recently there seem to be more restaurants to enjoy during your stay. We tend to stay at Santa’s Lodge; you can actually see Holiday World from there!

There is nothing to do in Santa Claus except Holiday World, which can be done in a day. The Christmas store, museum, candy store all close at 5pm so if you get in after that...If not for the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial and Lincoln State park down the road you pretty much have to hang at your hotel. Also, If you are needing any actual conveniences, say the nearest Target, its 30 some miles away!! There are not many choices on dining either.
