A very "walkable" town that has much to offer - a good selection of restaurants and arts activities. The presence of MCLA and the many state and local parks really enhances the area's cultural and outdoor offerings. Although there a a handful of stately homes that are need of repair, this only enhances the charm of the city. Within an hour's walk, I was able to take in a good portion of the city. Pretty town with lots of restaurants. Somewhat hilly. Appalachian trail nearby. Lots of beauty seen on the country roads. We passed right by the birthplace of Susan B. Anthony, never know what you'll see! I'm not sure if there is one piece of flat land in this town, but it's very charming! The Holiday Inn in North Adams was right across the street from the fire station and the police station. We felt very safe there, comfortable night's stay and absolutely spotlessly clean. If we return to the area, we would definitely stay there again.Guest review bySueUnited States
