Newport is in the middle of a series of beach communities...
Newport is in the middle of a series of beach communities with each having a special character and usually a harbor. The various harbors seem to have the the best culinary experience. Willamette Valley connections define the access - Portland to Seaside, Tillamook, Cannon Beach, Salem to Lincoln City, Corvallis to Newport, Eugene to Florence. With smaller communities in between. The State and Federal Forest Service Parks and viewing sites including light houses, aquariums and Marine Science center are great. Rambling up the small coastal roads into the coastal mountains provide an insight into the logging history and First Nation culture..... And don't forget the tides, high and low with the latter exposing fantastic marine life tide pools.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Staff are very friendly, I’d messed the dates up and they helped us out without any issues. Easy walk down to the beach. We didn’t eat dinner at the hotel but it’s a short walk to plenty of options. Breakfast was good. Getting the jacuzzi in the room seemed a bit much but it was a good choice, especially in early Oct when it was getting a bit cold outside.
