Morganton is a family oriented town near the Blue Ridge mountains, Boone NC, and Asheville Nc. There are various restaurants and breweries. There are Summer and winter outdoor activities. There is a hiking, lakes, waterfalls, tubing, skiing, and historic places to visit. It appears there is (hopefully) ongoing renovation. Certain aspects of the room were nice which surprised me a bit in a good way. Everything looked clean and relatively new. The TV is huge which I personally like. The bed was clean and had a mattress cover which I always check for these days due to bed bugs. Bathroom nicely appointed and exceptionally clean. The hotel appeared generally in good order and made for a pleasant stay.
