There is so much to view in this town within a national park. Two major rivers coming together, the railroad and all the bluffs. There are many placards loaded with pictures and information regarding the history through the centuries, so give yourself time to walk through the sites. The town is built right into the hillside so the streets are steep and quite narrow. Make sure you have good walking shoes! If you're a history buff or just love walking through some stunning scenery, then Harpers Ferry is a true worthwhile destination!

A superb restoration and museum of an early 19th century industrial town. The National Park Service has done an amazing job, and the local shopkeepers and services really complement the experience. Great for a day trip or overnight.

Love the history of the area and the variety of hiking trails. The town is small but beautiful. Harper's Ferry is the mid-point of the Appalachian Trail and the park visitor's center is definitely worth visiting. Parking is limited downtown and your best bet is the lot at the train station. Another option is the lot at the park visitor's center (where shuttles are available).

Not only loved the history as most would mention, but I also enjoyed the friendliness of the town, both workers, hikers, and tourists. The laid-back vibe is hard to match. Can't wait to return, hopefully soon!
