    Fort Stockton has a few tourist attractions, including the old Fort Stockton. However, for our visit, it was a good jumping off point to go to Alpine, Texas and the Big Bend National Park. I toured the old Fort Stockton last time I was in the city of Fort Stockton. It is worth a visit.

    If you enjoy history, you will enjoy Fort Stockton.

    If you enjoy history, you will enjoy Fort Stockton. We stayed there for one night but arrived in town early. We drove around to see the historic sites and were not disappointed. We had dinner at James Rooney Memorial Park. Great experience for a one-night stay.

    Apparently in decline, but we met one very accommodating retail clerk, and several below average service personnel. Sad to see this happening to the town and its people, and especially in some attitudes of indifference. Hopefully, there are better times ahead!

    Unfair question - literally driving from Houston area to Santa Fe, NM. Had to stop for only one night and wanted clean and safe with complimentary breakfast. Didn't do anything in Frot Stockton.

    Spacious and open room and public areas, bar available in hotel, excellent coffee in the room, pet friendly, beautiful pool, friendly and helpful staff, complimentary dinner and evening snacks, good breakfast, pleasant stay overall.

    We liked the stay, everything was very good.

    We liked the stay, everything was very good. Got there an hour and half before check in time, no problem the room was ready. Food was good and hot and fresh. Will stay there again when traveling that way. Desk staff were the best I have had in years.

    Normally when there is an older hotel you have to put extra locks on because of people up all hours of the night and you "rind things in your room but I found the security and noise alright. The room was clean also.
