Detroit has really evolved over these last five year s or so. I think that people need to go back and revisit this city and see some of the exciting changes that have taken place such as: the River Walk Not to mention, the Little Caesars Arena Ford field, Comerica Park and the Red wings, all in the center of he heart of downtown Detroit. There are still a lot of structures that's being built. The New Hudson building which is now home to GM. Along with a lot of other buildings and restaurants for your culinary experiences.. Detroit is definitely not a sleeper. It's much safer, cleaner and. It's definitely worth the visit.

I love the gift of going to Detroit for a night out on the town or a quick overnight stay. We ate at the Selden Standard, a five star restaurant only minutes away from the hotel by car. We had a beautiful nightcap at the Apparatus Room lounge and breakfast the next morning at Hudson Cafe. That is a beautiful way to enjoy a birthday!

I visited Detroit from MN specifically to see a concert by Queens of the Stone Age, but I gave myself time to see a few sights. The city of Detroit has a rich history that I've always been interested in. The concert was at the historic Fox Theater, and that venue alone is beautiful to see. I really learned a lot from the Motown museum and the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant Museum.

Great city and area for tourism!

Great city and area for tourism! Impressive architecture (both modern and Art Deco) and great art! We particularly liked the Diego Rivera mural at the DIA and the Fisher and Guardian buildings, as well as the Henry Ford Museum and Cranbrook. Some excellent restaurants - we enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Selden Standard. Also enjoyed the river walk and walking and swimming at Belle Isle, as well as the “scrappy” lively and witty folk-art installations and murals scattered about the city.

I really enjoyed Detroit's downtown.

I really enjoyed Detroit's downtown. It's a rebuild going on in Detroit. There is so much history. I hated to leave so soon. I was able to go to Comerica Park and the Little Caesars Arena while in town. I was there for the Claressa Shields' boxing match. The people of Detroit had great energy.

My stay was just in the downtown area.

My stay was just in the downtown area. I was there for a work convention and stayed in the local area the whole time. Huntington Place is a great convention center, and the convention was a great success. There are some nice places to grab a quick bite and all within safe and walking distance. I will come back again.
