    This was our first trip to Destin.

    This was our first trip to Destin. The beaches are beautiful and not over crowded. There were many great places to eat, we enjoyed Parlor Donuts, Beignet and Brews, Lulus, and the Backporch. Also great shopping. We did a lot school clothes shopping while we were there. Both Destin Commons and Destin Outlets had great stores. We also went to the Gulfarium and our girls did the Penguin Encounter which was a lot of fun for them. Oveall, we had a great trip and are already planning our next to Destin.

    Beach was very clean but no umbrella service as promised on the booking website The toilets were filthy and the beach view was obstructed by the building below on the second floor. I like that no one can give us extra towels and paper towels. Really bad room services. I would never book there again at, rather reside at Sandestin. Obstructed view of the ocean and ruined my 25th wedding anniversary

    Destin was absolutely beautiful.

    Destin was absolutely beautiful. The water was clear the sand was white and soft, like play Sand. There’s a lot of things to do there. I highly recommend doing the helicopter tour or even going to Fudpuckers(definitely go to goodwill). We had other experience there and other dining experiences that are highly recommended, but I can’t fit everything into this review. My only cons were that while the jellyfish were nice to look at, I did get stung several times. Overall the place is a 10 out of 10. I can’t wait to be back.

    Great place with lots to do and see and plenty of places to eat. I have stayed there multiple times and have not had a bad experience yet. There are plenty of shops and attractions for a wide variety of interests.

    The pictures online show the resort when it was newer.

    The pictures online show the resort when it was newer. It's a bit older than what they are showing. However, it was still very nice and pleasant. I would say that their outdoor furniture is old, tattered, and unsightly, and needs to be upgraded in most areas of the resort because it contributes to an overall non-resort-like feel. It's quite sad, really, cushions missing and torn and tattered rattan.

    Hotel Effie was gorgeous!!! Everything we needed and more, it felt like a true vacation. Everybody is kind, every space is shiny and makes you want to use the amenities, and the fact that is inside the resort and you can go and visit and have fun around is just out of this world. Loved it! Will definitely go back. Oh and a cool thing is that you get a 4 hour use of the resort bikes, daily, for free.

    The room was nasty, my husband killed a roach on the nightstand. The first day we arrived there were people standing around outside smoking. The couch & carpet was filthy. It stormed & the power went out & did not come back on. My husband & I checked right right after checking in. This is the worst hotel I ever visited.
