Small, quaint little town. Not many sit down restaurants, mostly Mexican food. We went to one of those and food was good and the people were nice there so the dinner was fine. We were there to go to Murchison to the Black Beauty Ranch to see the animals and that was WONDERFUL. I would suggest that everyone go to take the tour. Murchison is about 9 miles from Athens, but we stayed in Athens due to the fact that there aren't many places to stay in Murchison.

First off the employees were very nice and respectful, secondly for a lost cost hotel it was very clean and comfortable ive stayed in alot of cheap hotels in the past that were horrible but this place was excellent thats why I said low cost hotel not cheap cause even tho it wasn't pricey it was not a cheap place they take good care of their place
At first glance, it may not look like much, but the rooms are some of the cleanest I've stayed in for a Super 8. The facility is comfortable, overall very quiet, and a very convenient place for what I needed at a price that was very affordable.
It was amazing - I'm a Marriott preferred traveler and this made Marriott motels' breakfasts seem like they were an afterthought. Marriott should send some execs to see what a Good breakfast is..
