This compact, but adequate, room has the best lighting of any hotel I've had the pleasure of staying in. The room has good, quiet air-conditioning, and ours, being a corner room, had windows on two sides with a door that opened onto a small balcony. There were tea and coffee making facilities, and two complimentary bottles of water each day. Toiletries were also replenished daily. The bed was good, very comfortable, not too firm, and the large pillows were nice and soft. Again, the bathroom was small but adequate, with a shower. However, there was no shower curtain, so the bathroom floor gets a good soaking, which is a personal dislike. The shower had hot water, but I found the mixer tap difficult to control to get an even temperature; thankfully, in the end, I managed to master the controls. The rooftop bar is great playing my type of music loud but not unbearably so. There's a great Karaoke night on Saturday., run by a man who is a very good singer. The bar food is good as is the service. The majority of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Every afternoon when we returned the reception staff gave us a small glass of chilled roselle juice, which was very refreshing after a tiring day. We did enjoy our stay here and extended it from two to five nights.

For location it was really nice being right on the lake but walking distance to the town. My room was on the African Queen and it was clean and comfortable and roomy. The staff was friendly and pleasant. They even remembered me from last year. When there was a storm and they lost water to the boat, they gave me a temporary room that had hot water so I could shower. I thought this was very thoughtful and customer service orientated. The food at the restaurants was good.
