Staff were incredibly warm and helpful and went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special. We were surprised they had decorated the room and even left some beautiful (full size) skin care products as a gift. The room decor is also very thoughtful and functional. The hotel design is lovely too. You feel like you’re in the centre of the action too so its a great place to explore Stonetown.

What an absolute gorgeous gem of a hotel in Stone Town. Truly authentic building and decor and incredible bedrooms. I stayed in the ‘Kate’ room which was utterly delightful. Beautiful private terrace overlooking the town, enormous bedroom (beautifully decorated) and an open-air bathtub adjoining. Super private. Gorgeous to wake up in the morning and open the doors and feel the breeze filter through. Beautiful bed linen and towels (woven locally) and handmade soaps. If you are into aesthetics, then this is the place for you. I can’t say enough to rate the hotel. All the staff were absolutely delightful and super attentive (as a single female traveller it was very much appreciated). The Manager was extremely kind and friendly. Also organised a fantastic private tour of the town for me which was brilliant. The rooftop restaurant is to die for. The best, authentic and freshest of food I have ever eaten.The taster plate experience with sunset and cocktails was dreamy. Amazing views and ambiance. Didn’t want it to end! The Secret Garden restaurant is also absolutely worth a visit. I attended on a Friday evening when there was live music being performed. Truly magical. Again, the food was just amazing and the staff all super kind.

Everything in Stone Town is just a stroll away. (Whatever you do, do not miss going to the fish market at night) But the best part? I casually mentioned it was my birthday, and they surprised me with a cake and the sweetest staff singing “Happy Birthday” as soon as I walked into my room. Apart from the hotel itself, which is great (cleanliness, location, big room, comfy bed, style…), the best is the staff, who goes the extra mile to make you feel at home. Special mention to Bianca for being such an amazing host and take care of us. If we come back to Stone Town we will stay there again without doubts.
