    Nice place to visit, but don't bother staying overnight if...

    Nice place to visit, but don't bother staying overnight if you enjoy travelling around many different places. We stayed 2 nights and were back in Taipei by mid afternoon of checkout day. I recommend having a car/bike because walking around mountainous areas is tiring, especially when it's raining. Food here is excellent.

    We really only walked to old town one day as we spent a lot...

    We really only walked to old town one day as we spent a lot of time in the hotel and in the hotel spa. However, in one day we in the village we had great street food, took a tram up the mountain, took a vintage train ride, went for a long walk, and we loved our hotel Volando Urai. We didn't get a chance to go to the indigenous museum which looked great. We will visit Wulai again!

    A truly perfect stay experience, with extremely friendly hotel staff. The room was clean and tidy. The large floor-to-ceiling windows offered a view of the stream and distant mountains. (No need to worry too much about privacy; we checked, and it's not possible to see into your room from the outside.) In the evening, while enjoying the hot spring, you can hear the sound of the stream, frogs, and birds—it's quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was served as a set meal, and we thoroughly enjoyed the food we received.

    Lovely to wake up to mountain scenery and birdsongs. The cafe bar and hot spring + cool spring pools are so relaxing to hang out at. The spring water bath in the room is also perfect. The accomodstion is truly spacious. It's a dog-friendly place and we met the friendly resident shiba inu Roro. Walkable within 15-20min to restaurants.

    sulphur hot springs is life danger when it is in the personal room. if I sleep, I die slowly without notice of sulphur. I had to open window even though cold outside
