Not the nicest part of island.
Not the nicest part of island. Geared towards full moon party, laughing gas and fire shows. Quiet when not full moon in a nice way but the town is run down. Haad Rin beach is beautiful though. Saw quite a few families which was nice. Rented our bike from here and explored the island for a few days. I was expecting Haad Rin to be more crowded, dirty, and over touristy. But it wasn't! Yes, there are plenty of shops and bars and the streets are a little lively, but the beach itself is spacious, clean, and so relaxing. In my opinion, Had Rin is not suitable for families at all, but only for young people who like to lie on the beach most of the day and wait for the full moon parties. As a group of friends we loved staying here. Air conditioning was very good in the spacious room. Bathroom had a lovely bath and everywhere was very clean. They have the loveliest dogs at the hostel to keep us occupied by the bar. We also got to paint ourselves before beach parties at the neon paint corner. It is quite simple and at the same time so cozy and comfy. We arrived here from the 5-star hotel and I liked Sunset Beach Villas better. The outside area is so beautiful, the location is perfect. The hotel has its own access to the sea with the purest water. For some reason, we were among the few people who swam there, although it was absolutely amazing in the mornings.
