Didn't do any research before booking here and I have to say it was the highlight of our Holliday. Booked this hotel with a friend, rooms are great and the staff is exceptionally friendly and easy going. They are a really great help with recommendations and will help you 24/7 with a smile. The bar is great and James the manager/ barman makes the best cocktails in kata beach. We had plans to travel to more locations and decided to stay here because of the great vibe Neptuna Hotel offers. Kata beach is perfect for the best beach with great waves if you love surfing and if you want to party just take a taxi/bolt or scooter to patong. But still in kata beach the party's are great too.

From Two Days to Unforgettable Memories ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I originally booked for just two nights… but something about Alura made me stay much longer. From the moment I arrived, everything felt just right. The rooms are spotless — you can really tell how much love and care has gone into making this place shine. Fresh linens, clean bathrooms, and a sense of order that made it easy to relax from day one. What stood out even more was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. I met incredible travelers and quickly felt part of a little community. We shared drinks on the terrace, swapped stories, and laughed late into the night — all with a view of the Big Buddha watching over us. If you’re someone who values both comfort and cleanliness, you’ll feel at home here. The longer I stayed, the more I realized Alura wasn’t just a guesthouse — it’s an experience. “Dis hier waar jou siel rus vind.”

The staff: Mook, Film, Dew, Max, and Team all fantastic...best service we have had at any hotel and we travel frequently. These employees went above and beyond and provided great suprises and upgrades for my girl's birthday. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Phuket.

Amazing little retreat away from the hustle and bustle. Can recommend very much if you want a little haven a short distance away from everything. Staff extremely polite, pleasant and helpful. Very very cute place. The pool was amazing clean everyday!

    Great, long and clean beach.

    Great, long and clean beach. Sadly, the sea was too rough for swimming most of the time, but OK for splashing through the waves. It occasionally calmed down in the late afternoon/evening. This was in low season, so to be expected. A bit naughty, the sun bed vendors required the same price (100 Baht) irrespective of how long or short a time you wanted to use them. I've no idea how (or if) they remembered you had paid if you went off for lunch etc.

    Kata is a lovely beach There are some expensive hotels that are directly fronting the beach and so their staff clean the beach each day. Beach chairs are available but not so many that they cannot be avoided if you just want to walk on the beach. At the time of year I was there the main activity was surfing at the southern end with many people taking lessons. Some nice cafes right on the beach at the southern end which is the nicest part.

    Our first time it was exceptional,the staff was great.Our room was the most impressive,especially the view of the beach from the balcony.Lots of great resturant around to choose from.Also 7/11 close by Easy to get around we did the night market zoo shopping mall.

    It's a long beach, not too crowded, and quite clean.

    It's a long beach, not too crowded, and quite clean. You can get a 2 chairs under the umbrella for 100 THB for the whole day, they even give you a hand broom to brush off the sand and a bottle of water. There is a clean toilet nearby which you can use spending 10 THB.

    beautifull beach that can be busy and too much waves in the afternoon. And if you like to swim and quiet like me, the best is in the morning but then again I was there in a low season (raining) so nice for a week

    The staff - especially Bow, Bas and Yumi, were amazing and made sure my stay was to my liking. I appreciated them changing my room as I lacked privacy on the poolside and accepting a late check-out too. As it is a small hotel, very oriented around well-being, I also found the other guests very friendly and easy to connect with. There is a free shuttle from the hotel to various central areas in Phuket which makes it easy to get around. I really enjoyed the different yoga classes too. All in all an amazing stay and I hope to be back.

    Breakfast was nice with both oriental and continental options. Restaurant staff was all around us to make any request of us happen immediately. The location of the hotel is nice but not the best though. You have to cross a busy road to get to the beach. The area was generally nice, especially for families, compared to other "wild" parts of Phuket.
