The hotel is in the center of town, a 5 minute walk to the train station. Public parking is next to the hotel; after 6 pm it is free until 9 am. Coming from South East England, Växjö seemed, very, very, very quiet. Quieter than a Sunday during the first lockdown in England. It was not unusual to see no cars on a main road. Växjö and Sweden as a whole is very well organised. Hardly any litter, no graffiti, everyone very polite. Most people spoke English and were eager to help if we needed help. The bus service is excellent, the timetables are accurate to the minute. If you like peace and quiet it's a good place to go. The hotel is central and an easy walk from the train and bus station. The rooms are clean and the beads are really comfortable. The staff is really friendly, service minded and make you feel at home and welcomed. The breakfast is big, great, buffet style and had everything I wanted. It even included a washing machine. I parked right next to the hotel so as to not pay parking fees - there were loads of spaces. It's a really safe place - opposite an old people's home. There's a petrol station and a Lidl close by. Bed was really comfy. Wifi was super strong! Vaxjo is just a few minutes drive away - an interesting little place.
