What’s not to like? HR will always be a 10. Independant hotel, family owned and customer service oriented, it’s a gem we found 2 years ago and were glad to come back. Clean, fresh, wonderful class and character. Perfect decor, wallpaper, furnishings, artwork. The 2pm cake of the day is a treat which we hovered around like hungry vultures. Victor on reception is a charming and entertaining host and we hope he’s still there next time, great sense of humour. Great home away from home, see you next time folks.

My stay at the Clarion Draken in Gothenburg over New Year’s Eve was nothing short of fantastic. As someone with mite allergies, I often face challenges with hotel beds, but at Clarion Draken, I was pleasantly surprised. The bed was not only soft and inviting, but also allergen-free, ensuring a comfortable and sneeze-free night’s sleep. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the view from the hotel. Positioned perfectly to overlook the city, we enjoyed a spectacular view of the Gothenburg fireworks. It felt like we had front-row seats to the city’s celebrations, all from the comfort of the hotel. Adding to the experience was our time spent at the rooftop bar. The ambiance was perfect for ringing in the New Year, with a selection of drinks that catered to all tastes. It was a great place to relax and soak in the festive atmosphere. The next morning, we were greeted with an extensive breakfast buffet. The variety and quality of food available were impressive, catering to a wide range of dietary preferences and tastes. It was the perfect way to start the new year. Lastly, the ease of checking in and out added to the seamless experience. The staff were friendly and efficient, making sure our stay was hassle-free from start to finish. In conclusion, my stay at Clarion Draken was a delightful experience, combining comfort, luxury, and festive cheer. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a special New Year’s Eve in Gothenburg.

If you tell the breakfast staff that you are vegan, they will prepare a plate of vegan cheeses and "ham" slices for you, in addition to all the stuffs in the breakfast buffet already. There is oat milk for your coffee and cereal too. Rooms are so cute! Wifi works well, central station is right around the corner and everything is nice!

The staff were very helpful and welcoming, which made the stay feel comfortable from the start. The location is very convenient — it’s in another part of Gothenburg, with a free sea bus just two minutes away that takes only 10–15 minutes to reach the other side of the city. I loved the peaceful, modern, and pleasant surroundings, which made the area itself enjoyable to explore. I also really liked the hotel’s design, especially the lobby, where I was able to work for a couple of hours in a relaxed atmosphere. Considering the service, comfort, and easy access to Gothenburg, the hotel offers excellent value for the price.
