We had the best stay at villa Anna Splendid. It exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, Alexey and Anna made us feel completely at home. They were warm, friendly, and always available if we needed anything — thanks to them, we never went without a single thing. The villa is gorgeous inside and out. We saw the best sunsets of our lives from there. The facilities were great: the infinity pool was lovely, the kitchen had everything we needed (and more), and the private sauna was such a treat. It was a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. Perfect place to unwind.

If you're looking for somewhere quiet, then Várzea is the place for you! It was so peaceful. I stayed in the garden suite which was so luxurious and comfortable - I really loved it. I wish I had booked more than 1 night.

Our stay was truly wonderful. The cabin is beautifully decorated and very comfortable, the attention to detail in every corner is evident. The hot tub is a great way to unwind the day, breakfast was delicious. Would love to return one day, highly recommend.

    It's a very small seaport and ocean front village...there...

    It's a very small seaport and ocean front village...there are some local restaurants and bakery, bank and small grocery stores within a short distance. Ensure you take euros because your credit card may not work. The scenery is the most beautiful from rugged mountain terrain to volcanic ocean pools and gorgeous sunsets it's absolutely perfect. You will need a car to get around and the terrain is up and down hills and winding roads. The locals are very accomodating and helpful. Sete Cidades is accessible from multiple roads very close by...if you're looking for quiet village life with lots of scenic ocean views this is the location!

    Of the different villages/towns along the West end of the island, we like Mosteiros best. The waterfront is accessible over about 2km with a really beautiful coastline.....the winds were quite strong so the wave action was really impressive/entertaining.

    A charming town in a beautiful location between the ocean...

    A charming town in a beautiful location between the ocean and the steep mountains. On the western end of the island, it often has superlative sunsets. The town itself is small but has a welcoming central plaza, with several good restaurants nearby. The main beach is very accessible and very attractive. There is also a pleasant road to walk along the waterfront that runs from one end of town to the other, with small food stands open during the good weather.

    Only thing we didn’t love was the bedding came loose as soon as you lied down. We loved everything else. We loved the views, cleanliness everywhere, friendly staff, great breakfast, nice pool deck with loungers

    The place was very comfortable with a nice outside area with a bbq, laundry room and an upper terrace. There was lots of kitchen equipment and it was very comfortable and clean. We were two friends travelling and enjoyed jhaving our own rooms.

    A beach town that is a great place to spend a week relaxing.

    A beach town that is a great place to spend a week relaxing. Terra do Pico offer a few tours (whale watching, sunset tours), and there are a few attractions not more than 20 minutes drive away. Several good restaurants, lots of beach kiosks.
