Everything was P E R F E C T! The staff is awesome and well prepared and at your service, the accomodation is 45 seconds (I have counted :) ) away from the bus station (usually it is never less than 15 - 45 min), it has like 4,5 restaurants within 1 minute of walking distance, and also some grocery shops (also within 1 minute walk)... That is just the location, but the room... If I could I would give it an 11 or even higher. EXTRA clean, EXTRA big compared to many others I have been to (which by the way have more stars to it, and much higher prices!), nothing in the room is old everything is new, bed is super comfortable, toilet super clean, free water and coffee... I don't have much more to say but just one BIG thank You! I would absolutely recommend this to everybody (PS it is only 40 minutes away feom Porto by bus, so, about 20-25 with a car... wink wink) THANK YOU Toni

This hotel has great staff. The receptionist was very welcoming, helpful and spoke brilliant English. He was happy to offer restaurant recommendations which no-one does any more. The morning receptionist asked us if everything had been OK during our stay. This is a first for us, a hotel which actually cares to ask if you had a nice stay. So well done. Our room was lovely, just big enough, with air con, a comfortable bed and a great shower. We also had the bonus of a small balcony from which we enjoyed watching the sun go down over the river. The room had a fridge, fancy coffee machine with two free pods, free bottled water and free toiletries. All very much appreciated. Location is great, it is right in the center of town. And while this means they do not have a car park, there is a large, free car park located just down the hill, below the hotel. You can park the car, then take the lift up, and walk two minutes to the hotel entrance. Very convenient. Breakfast was beautifully laid out and delicious. We throughly enjoyed bacon, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes and toast, with great coffee. We would return here again just for the breakfast, and the lovely staff.

The property was immaculately presented and maintained. On a working orchard where fruit was readily available to pick and consume also sit and relax amongst, the entire stay is rated one of the very best we have ever experienced. The original Portuguese village made it feel like we were transported back in time, beautifully renovated with luxury products, finishes and furniture left us not wanting for anything more. The hotel was full however never once felt crowded - amazing selection at breakfast with a wonderful view over the property and valley below. Our family of four adults were very comfortable spending time together, with plenty of individual activities and areas to explore roaming always in awe of the natural beauty of the village and grounds. There wasn’t anything the staff wouldn’t do to assist in maximising our experience. Cooking facilities in the villas along with community kitchen and cooking for outdoor alfresco options were immaculately keeled and readily available for use. The pool zone was tranquil with flowing mountain spring water keeping it cool for the summer days. (High temperatures in the region of 39-40 degree heat plenty of shade to protect from the sun) Conveniently location near the Douro River and vineyards. The kind gift of arrival of in-house Blueberry Jam and teas was amazing also the signature bottle of white wine was a lovely and welcomed treat which was chilled and enjoyed after a long day of exploring the region on the warm summer night in our private courtyard. We could not fault our four night stay and can not wait to return on our next trip to visit family in the region.

a tranquil place. the best place to connect with nature. the breakfast was very nice, they brought a wicker basket with food and left it right before the door)) very cute. even though it was cool outside, we had an amazing time in a big jacuzzi outside. the house was very bright and spacious, very clean. there was also a jacuzzi in the room. enjoyed it a lot
