    There are some great museums.

There are some great museums. The cable car and botanic gardens are a must see and if you have a car, it is well worth driving around the bays and to the various lookouts - the views are fantastic. The war memorial is worth a visit. The Parliament is also worth visiting but book a tour (free) to make the most of it.

Wellington is an interesting city, it's small and compact and most things are within a walkable distance. The cafes and restaurants are excellent. New Zealand is now generally a very expensive place to travel in and the prices in Wellington reflect that. As the country is one of the best food producers in the world, it's a pity the food and drink costs here are so high. Seems out of balance to me.

Loads to do in Wellington. We travelled primarily for the WoW experience and it was as fab as we expected Zealandia is an under rated experience and should be better advertised. it should be added to your list below All our food experiences were different, 10mins walking accessibility and great choices and enjoyable Uber drivers provided great service and using the electronic scooters around town and the Waterfront was good fun and recommended We were on a limited timeline so visited and travelled around as much as we could

    The shopping was awesome.

The shopping was awesome. Finding a nice cafe for lunch was hard to find Unfortunately the waterfront wasnt as fun to walk around as at previous visits...surprising considering WOW was on. Lots of interesting places to visit..allwithin easy walking distance. I waa disappointed with Cuba St. It used to have a great vibe but now dismal and seedy without the cool shops i use to visit..or decent cafes.

Ate out a lot and always plenty to choose from, too many at times! Great shopping, easy to access plus catch a bus or train to other shopping malls. Went swimming at 2 different pools plus trips to beaches etc. Choc Fest on plus went to WOW, world of wearable art.

The chef made me some fried eggs as I couldn't have the scrambled eggs on breakfast due to allergies. Overall a very nice hotel to stay in, and since Wellington is a small city, you can get around by foot and bus quite well!
