Fantastically well appointed property, much more than we needed, but so spacious and welcoming, we loved it. Comfortable bed and gorgeous bathrooms, beautiful views throughout with delightful patio access. Quite clever security door access, which we needed to ask for help with, but Nigel was on the phone and actually came out to help straight away. Thanks for your help! What I liked: The room was very spacious, the bed extremely comfortable, and the location was both ideal and original. Everything is very well looked after. The hosts were very helpful, and I really appreciated the easy access to the outside at night directly from the room to enjoy stargazing.

A fabulous cottage, clean, comfortable, with everything one could want provided. The patio was a lovely private place to chill. Twizel itself is small but with good facilities and an excellent supermarket. An easy walk from the cottage to the shops and restaurants. Easy driving distance to the lakes and Mt Cook. Loved our time here.

Didn’t do much in Twizel itself as it was for us just a stopover on a long roadie, and we had been in the area before. But there is heaps to do and see within a short drive. We had our own food with us so didn’t eat out. The camp kitchen was great.

My husband and I have been coming to Twizel for several...

My husband and I have been coming to Twizel for several years now. My husband comes for the fishing and I for the photography. We have stayed in all seasons. This time it was July middle of winter. Didn't catch any fish but I got some great photos. Had a lovely meal out at Poppies. Would recommend them. We were disappointed with our accommodation, but it didn't ruin our stay in Twizel.

Cute, small town with the most amazing scenery.

Cute, small town with the most amazing scenery. The town itself is very small, but offers so much with scenic walks, activities & the locals are super friendly. We had dinner at the Razza Bar - a small, old school bar with the best atmosphere & great food. The owner was really friendly and told us all about the lord of the rings filming and where we could find the area where the fight scene was filmed which was very cool. Beautiful place & we can’t wait to come back

The view is fantastic. We need to stay longer next time. Twizel is a good centre point for 2 lakes Lake Pukaki and Lake Takapo. Compare with stay in Lake Takapo, Stay in Twizel is more valuable. If you are hiring car yourself to teavel.

The lake is brilliant and perfect for our power boat racing. The restaurants were fantastic and the food was great. The 'hardware store' is more than that! You should definitely check it out. They have everything!

Good location from which to visit Mnt Cook/Aoraki and the Tekapo and Pukaki lakes. Ideal stopover for us as we headed from Christchurch to Queenstown. High Country Lodge was clean and comfortable with a spacious room and good facilities.

The owner was so super kind with walking through instructions about the cottage, we're asking for an early check in as our parents in their 80s got cold as the Twizel weather turned foggy and cold and the owner was so happy to let us in early , we're so much appreciated. We will be booking at Rosedale again on every trip to twizel. Thank you Dave for your warm hospitality.

I've booked a cabin instead of camping to get away from some severe weather happening in NZ. The lady at reception was very nice and helpful. My cabin was comfortable and clean. The location right next to the beautiful Lake Ruataniwha was perfect. You're also not too far away from Aoraki/Mount Cook NP, Tekapo and of course Twizel is right there.

It is located in a serene environment and the host is very hospitable. She ensures that the facilities are in immaculate condition and add nice touches such as providing snacks and all necessary toiletries. The bed is comfortable and the rooms smells fresh and clean. Will definitely recommend GH Twizel Holiday Cottage to anyone.

Have stayed in this motel multiple times. I like the style of the units, some might say dated but I think they are cool. Can park right outside and walk into Twizel. Cosy with the heatpump running. Plenty of space in the cabins, some have views to Mount Cook/Aoraki . Will stay again.
