United KingdomOmara- more was a perfect location for our one night stopover in Omerama during our A2O cycle ride. The accommodation is first class, very comfortable and so well equipped with a lot of extras we did not expect. Karen is a great host, responded quickly to my questions and gave us lots of recommendations of where to have dinner and other things to do in the town. I would highly recommend this host and the beautiful accommodation to anyone visiting the area.

Often overlooked as a passing point to more exotic destination, this little stop over town has a few worthy attractions; the Clay Cliffs, the Ahuriri River, the Hot tub and the Glider rides etc. It is also near Twizel and Lake Ohau too.Guest review byJeremyAustralia - 10.0

There are two places to eat in the village.
There are two places to eat in the village. A hotel which caters for tour parties. The bufet looked average. The ala carte menue, which looks interesting is not available every night (barman said). It was available when I was there, but the staff seamed very reluctant to offer it. The steak was limp (looked like it had been cooked in a sous vide, but not flash fried at a high enough temperature) and everything was way, way over salted!!! I was Would not recomend it. A pleasant, quiet place to get away from the 'madding crowd'! I love the scenery and climate there and the locals we met were friendly and helpful. I recommend The Pink Glider for a meal as well as the kebab truck on the highway. Both have super staff and good food. It was exceptionally clean and was easy to relax in. The location is amazing and it was a great alternative to rushing on to the busy noiseyness of Queenstown.
