The staff were very friendly and chatty. The cleaner told us we didn't have to move out of room fast as she got other rooms to do. 👍🏻Also the cleaner answered my questions about area. Population at school etc. I would totally recommend this place. 👍🏻

Village in a beautiful setting near native forest park and overlooking Lake Brunner. A small number of occupied original houses and lots of new modern holiday homes that would likely be busy in the Summer water-skiing season. Neat historic railway buildings. A great place to stop on the Tranzscenic with a couple of good places to eat overlooking the lake. Beautiful short bush walks nearby.

Great little place to stay. Hotel/apartment was excellent. All very good facilities. Views of the lake were stunning, lots of nice walks to do and enjoy. Summer would be a great place to holiday in.
All meals were able to be had at hotel.

It overlooks Lake Brunner with Mountains as a backdrop including Mt Te Kinga.
There are many walking and biking tracks close by.
Excellent trout fishing is available in the Lake as well as the nearby rivers.

It is a wonderful spot and surprisingly didn't cost the earth. We ate in the Lodge and the food was excellent. The lodge and the owners are wonderful.
There is a short length of unpaved road to get to the lodge but don't let that deter you. It passes quickly and just adds to its charm.

Nice and quiet before Christmas, afterwards gets very busy with holiday makers, good walking tracks around the area. Great place if you have a boat, water skiing etc. Greymouth is only 25 minutes away if you need to go to a supermarket i.e. Countdown and New World. There is a convenience store (On the Spot) on the outskirts of Moana.

Exceptional, friendly service.
Lisa and Gael went out of their way to make us welcome. They provided transport to Moana rather than allowing us to walk. Our room was serviced daily to a very high standard. A very generous continental breakfast provided with the room. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings with friendly Weka being frequent visitors. A perfect place to relax.
Quite simply the most genuine hosts I have ever been a guest of. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed by their stay here.

Great location, we stayed mid May - views of the Lake changed each day, from misty, moody to still clear skies and mirror like views. Hotel ranged in rooms, from older pub style rooms to newer studios, and apartments - we had a studio which was clean, tidy and met our needs. The hotel itself offers a great menu for all day dining as well as a bar to relax and play pool or listen to the dukebox. Staff are helpful and friendly.

The room was impeccably clean and had everything we needed. Just outside of Moana so nice and peaceful. The shower pressure was crazy good. Parking right outside our room. Plenty of food for a continental breakfast which was restocked each day! Fantastic value for money. We will definitely be back to stay again.
