This was probably the best stay for us in New Zealand. Sylvia and her family gave us warm welcome and made us feel like home. Spectacular views from their property and we had everything we needed for. The property was very clean. We even had dinner with them and discussed a lot of things about India & New Zealand.

This hotel is stunning. We had a massive room. The shower was amazing and the Elemis products made it luxurious. The TV had loads of channels. The bed was really comfortable - the best we'd had on our trip so far.

We are very fortunate inasmuch as we are able to travel extensively and currently live overseas. This hotel is, Hands Down, the best hotel we’ve ever used. From the second we walked in the door it was obvious the D’Urville was going to be different. I didn’t know where to look first as the decoration is so fabulous. We stayed one night only unfortunately.. our room surpassed all expectation ..then a pre dinner drink in the cocktail bar which was delicious and another visual feast ! And dinner…completely amazing food which took us to new places! Love the ambience created which I interpreted as being in a Rudyard Kipling book! I’ve run out of superlatives! Apart from the coffee the breakfast perfect … but now I’m being picky!

Heather is very welcoming, it felt like being over at a family member's house. Everything was clean. Breakfast was good. The bathroom and all the products that were free to use were such a nice gesture.
