- Room is spacious and looks fancy, with useful chairs and table, a huge TV. - Bed is wide and a set of soft pillows which gave us a nice and comfortable rest after an exhausting trip - Bathroom is clean and complete with bathrobes and towels, tissues with hair blower - Staffs are friendly and helpful, even met Filipinos who are accommodating at our requests and the one who’s in charge in the bar gladly gave us refill for our empty water bottles - Buffet breakfast is great, there is plenty of rice which I didn’t get quite a lot during our travel, had several egg options which are savory and also had tea, coffee, milk, or juice to choose from for a drink. We were full and ready for the day’s adventure!

The atmosphere of the hotel is fashionable and pleasant, and the staff take the initiative to help, and their attitude is super friendly. You need a higher floor to have a slightly better view( But there are still buildings ahead). The price of the restaurant downstairs is slightly higher, but the taste is layered. The hotel accepts requests for late check-out depending on the situation, which is very useful for travelers with late-night flights departing.

FAQs about hotels in Auckland

Thrilling City of Sails and Volcanoes

Called the 'City of Sails' due to the large number of yachts anchored in Waitemata Harbour, Auckland is the largest city of both New Zealand and Polynesia. Built on the Auckland Volcanic Field featuring about 48 extinct volcanoes, this city truly offers a blast!

Auckland is a real cultural mix with strong Asian, European, Maori and Polynesian influences, celebrated in frequent festivals and sporting events. Some examples of these cultures can be seen at the Auckland War Memorial Museum, one of the best in New Zealand. For more, try the upmarket dining of the Viaduct Harbour.

Another must-see is the tallest free-standing tower in the Southern Hemisphere, the Sky Tower. If you’re feeling up to the challenge, you can even perform the Sky Jump, a controlled base jump from 192 metres!

Climbing the volcanic cones as well as the stunning Auckland Harbour Bridge will provide unforgettable, panoramic views of the city’s skyline. For a different perspective, why not try a cruise or sea kayaking?

Getting to the city centre is an easy trip from Auckland International Airport. Find modern hotels, comfortable motels and cheap hostels on Booking.com, sure to have the perfect accommodation for your holiday.

Auckland is large city and takes a while to get from one place to another, traffic is always terrible and if you get stuck in a traffic jam it can be very frustrating, always try to plan your travels out of peak traffic time's.

The Auckland zoo is a most fantastic half day trip for adults and children alike. Good snapshot of NZ bush/forest/ferns plus birds, animals and all the exotic ones too. We had a good view of the kiwis in nocturnal house. I can recommend dining at the Orbit 360 Sky if you manage to get a booking- superb views during daylight hours. Also enjoyed Hanoi cafe - Vietnamese restaurant in Britomart area.

Driving in Auckland is very stressful.

Driving in Auckland is very stressful. Auckland drivers are a chapter on their own. Getting to and from sights and attractions in your own car is rather tricky. Parking is another big problem. We went to the zoo this time and found it quite lovely with interesting displays, although a lot of the animals, especially the native ones, weren't visible as they are either camouflaged or in hiding. But we saw a real kiwi in action. Cafes within the zoo are well prices. Plenty of shopping malls. Auckland museum is also a great place to explore.

Very convenient location in Auckland city centre, right opposite the Sky Tower with easy walking distance access to the airport bus drop-off and pickup location. Also close to bars, cafes and a Woolworths store. The apartment was clean and tidy with the basic kitchen crockery, cutlery, microwave and dishwasher. The room was better than I expected for the price we paid and it was fairly quiet being right in the city centre. The pool, sauna and gym looked good, but we didn't use these facilities. The shower had good water pressure.

I had my own car and stayed twice for one night a week apart. I asked for a quiet room and was assigned the end room ’18’ which I thought was perfect. Clean with tv/wifi and kitchenette and large bathroom. Could park outside the door - a unique electronic patio door mechanism. Quiet neighborhood on wide, quiet collector road. 10 minutes from the airport on the way out and close to the cross-city freeway (tried to stay out of Auckland traffic as much as possible).
