We spent two nights here…it was the right amount of time to...
We spent two nights here…it was the right amount of time to view animals in Etosha National Park. The terrain here (unlike Numatoni) is vast and flat. Animals are few and far between but with persistance and great binoculars we spotted a Black Rhinocerous, elephants, zebra, springbok, oryx, giraffe, ostriches, and 1 lion, all during daylight hours. The food is best OUTSIDE the park. There is NO fuel in the ENTIRE park! The “Trading Post” is the nearest fuel to this village (less than 10km). We were disappointed by the extremely bad roads in the park. There is no information about the rugged dirt roads in the park. We were happy to leave the park without an accident or car broken. The room was so lovely, it's own private chalet almost, with great amenities (as a coffee lover I enjoyed the cafetiere!) The main lobby area had a great bar, shop and restaurant with a buffet every night which was fab. The staff were so helpful and friendly, there was a super fast turn around on laundry services and we enjoyed a fantastic all day game drive organised by the hotel! The place was super clean and so well equipped! We had lots of space and a nice big shower. The location is approx. 23km from the Etosha Park gate which is super convenient.
