    Welcoming, friendly, happy supportive community of people-locals, artists, fishermen, shop and restaurant owners, expats. Excellent clean beaches, especially La Madera uncrowded and delicious restaurants, especially on the beaches. Wonderful shopping celebrating the creativity and the diversity of the artistic products produced by the local Mexican people. Walkable. Safe. Shared shuttle & taxi available for longer distances. Drinking water is filtered. Yummy local food. And the sunsets breathtaking, spiritually meditative. Did we find paradise?😎♥️

    Beautiful weather, beautiful town, the airport is a super quick customs experience, people are super friendly and as always (I’ve probably travelled to Mexico 20+ times) I didn’t feel unsafe or uncomfortable at any moment. It is not as busy as Cabo and Cancun therefore it’s very affordable and relaxing.

    Great energy along the promenade.

    Great energy along the promenade. Lots of expat retirees and local families. The town has covered sidewalks to keep you out of the heat. Many different beaches with completely different vibes. We preferred Maderas beach for cleanliness and walking distance to town. Playa la ropa was super crowded - we didn’t stay. Playa Troncones is wonderful, quiet, you can hear the waves on the open ocean - not for swimming with children, strong undertow.

    Zihua is a truly special town! Perfect for relaxing.

    Zihua is a truly special town! Perfect for relaxing. There's not much to do in the area, though. We stayed for 3 weeks and really struggled to stay entertained during the Christmas / New Year holidays, as many things were closed.

    Zihuatanejo is a wonderfully, friendly town with lots of great restaurants, beaches and friendly local people. Airport is small and very efficient. In and through customs and out of airport in 30 minutes. Check in times quick and boarding area roomy and clean.

    Loved the beautiful peaceful ocean front location! The quality of the villa and resort was incredible ! Host Maggie was delightful! 12 cats and 2 dogs! I loved it! Beautiful clean sparkling pools! Fabulous fully equipped outdoor kitchen! On the bus route!! No need to take cabs!! Even from the airport, a 5 min walk out of the airport, then take the bus for 17 pesos right to the resort!! Bus to Zihuatanejo and to ixtapa! Unbelievable vacation!!

    For a hotel in zihautenejo for us it was perfect. Laid back with amazing staff who are happy to help with anything you need. The service and food at breakfast is better than we’ve had anywhere else in Mexico. We stayed for 2 nights but wish we could’ve stayed longer!
