I recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at the enchanting Hotel Le Suffren in Mauritius, and I must say, it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, my daughter and I were transported to a world of pure elegance and grace. One of the true highlights of our stay was the culinary journey we embarked upon at the hotel's restaurant, where we had the privilege of being dazzled by the extraordinary sushi chef, Ritchy. His artistry with sushi was a revelation, and the flavors danced on our taste buds like a symphony. In fact, it's safe to say that this dining experience was the pinnacle of our culinary adventures in Mauritius. During our stay, a minor maintenance issue cropped up in our room. However, I was absolutely astounded by the swift and professional manner in which the duty manager addressed the situation. Not only did they resolve the issue with precision and care, but they also surprised us with a gracious refund for one night's stay. This unexpected gesture of goodwill touched our hearts deeply. Hotel Le Suffren is not just a place to stay; it's a haven of exceptional hospitality and grace. The staff's dedication to ensuring their guests' happiness is nothing short of extraordinary. I am profoundly grateful for the level of care and attention we received during our stay. If you're seeking a truly enchanting experience in Mauritius, I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Le Suffren. This place is simply fantastic, it's a gem on the western coast of Mauritius. I had a spacious room with direct access to the garden, the pool area and the beach. Excellent breakfast with everything you need. Karine and Jerôme are excellent hosts (beside the fact that they have a very tasty collection of spiced rums) and they made me feel at home for two days. Albion itself is a quiet place with many locals, no large resorts, a nice beach and a couple of good restaurants.

The owners of the B&B were simply amazing. Kind, gentle & helpful :-) The location is perfect for peace & quiet.... away from the hustle and bustle of the "touristy" Flic en Flac area. It was a cool & calm place to rest & recuperate. Everything one needs for a comfortable stay is provided - a full kitchen & a lovely cool patio by the inviting swimming pool (I had the bottom unit for my 8 day stay). The walk to the beach is quick, safe & easy & the delicious boulangerie is just around the corner for fresh croissants & delicious coconut cake. Everything one needs is within a short walk from the house - restaurants, home-made gelato, the "shoppie" (where the helpful owner advised on the purchase of my data for my stay) right next to the bus stop (to Quatre Bourne & Port Louis & Cascavelle Shopping Centre). Just a tip....rather shop at Winners in Cascavelle SC, because the supermarket in Flic en Flac is very expensive & very busy with long queues & understaffed at the tills! A very big thank you once again to Vimla, Pritam & your family for a lovely stay ;-)
