Demir Kapija is two minutes off the main E75 highway, but the place is so cute and quiet and feels as if you have been catapulted to a different planet. The nature is gorgeous with mountains and vineyards around, it has a lovely church that stands up on a hill - they call it "little Oplenac" as the same architect who designed the chrch at Oplenac in Serbia designed the one in Demir kapija.

The cleanliness was outstanding, the bed was super comfortable. The one thing we did not like was the baby crib. They give us a baby play cot which was broken and place three regular pillows as mattress which is very unsafe for baby. Of course we did not use it. Another suggestion is the music at the restaurant, they should play something more universal rather than Balkan music from the 2000s. They should. Besides that it was a good stay.

Loved being surround by world-class vineyards and access to so many wonderful wineries within a 30-minute drive or less! There's a couple of Hotels in the area and I can only see this region become a Mecca for the wine lovers looking to slip away from city life and enjoy delicious meals and wonderful wines.
