I spent two days in Tana.
I spent two days in Tana. The first day, I rested in my room, by the pool, got a massage and relaxed on the balcony at sunset. Then I chatted with the friendly staff at the bar until bedtime. Antananarivo is what it is. Which is to say dirty, dusty, noisy and overcrowded. Lots of beggars. Traffic moves at speed of molasses when it’s moving at all - there are no traffic lights, some intersections have traffic cops but they appear to be ignored. There are not many places to visit in Antananarivo and it is not recommended that you go out alone - particularly after dark. It was the start and end point of a wildlife tour for myself and my friend and the tour guide organised a walking tour for half a day which was very good. Without the guide, I think we would have struggled to find our way around and avoid the people begging for money and/or trying to pick our pockets!!Guest review bySusan
