I recently stayed at a hotel Ocean Breeze Cottage during my vacation, and I had a wonderful experience! The room was nice,Clean and included a balcony with a stunning sea view, which made my mornings extra special. The hotel’s location was also a big plus since it was close to town, making it easy to explore. Breakfast was delicious and offered a variety of options, and I appreciated the friendly staff who made me feel welcome throughout my stay. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Very friendly and kind hosts. On my arrival, they picked me up from the train station though the room is in walking distance from the station. The room is spacious, new, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Walking distance from the main street with all the bustling city life nevertheless the room is very quite. Only a couple of minutes walking from the beach where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets. Gaindu proposed many places to visit but unfortunately due to lack of time I didn't. Ambalangoda ended up to be one of the best places I visited in Sri Lanka and Sudu Colonial was one of the best places I stayed. Until my next visit I would highly recommend it.

Sama Retreat is an absolute gem of a place. The grounds are huge with lovely gardens, and the stunning beach is only steps away. All of the staff were brilliant, welcoming and friendly. There are two choices for breakfast - western or Sri Lankan, we tried both and they were delicious and plentiful. The spa is amazing and I was very impressed with the two treatments I enjoyed there -a facial and a massage. Extremely professional spa staff in a very clean, hygienic and beautiful setting. The sounds of nature and running water was the best sound back drop I have ever experienced during spa treatment, and who would have thought a stint in the steam room after the massage would be so magnificent! We booked Sama Retreat as a treat for my birthday and we are very glad we did. What a relaxing and peaceful way to begin our tour of Sri Lanka. Thank you :)

Very nice accommodation in a good and quiet place, which is very carefully looked after by the staff every day. The hotel is located 1 minute from a beautiful quiet beach. First of all I would like to thank the hotel owner Niroshan and his wife Lakshmi for their hospitality and for making everything for our comfortable stay in Sri Lanka. The hotel itself is located in a picturesque village just above the Madhu River. The rooms have a beautiful view of the river, islands and jungle. There are only six rooms in the hotel, so Niroshan can give enough time and attention to each of the guests. Start your day with the pool and freshly squeezed fruit juice. The breakfast at the hotel is delicious and quite varied. Niroshan is a wonderful cook with years of experience, so be sure to try the dishes prepared by him. Our stay here fell on New Year's Eve, which we decided to celebrate at the hotel, which we never regretted. The hotel team organized for us an unforgettable evening with delicious food, wine, fireworks and national dances. Especially memorable was the excursion to a tea plantation and a tea factory. You should definitely visit it, you will learn a lot of interesting things about the technology of harvesting and production, as well as taste very tasty tea. Niroshan is a very interesting person and will gladly tell you about the specifics of life on the island, local traditions and history. I did not want to leave. But we will definitely come back, because there is still so much to see on the island, so much to try!
