We came late at wetland resort they have made a nice welcome for us ,morning we have a nice breakfast and a nice little guy name silva was their for us all time ,he always help us anytime we wanted ..the owner where really amaizing person ,the lady was really amaizing well-done thanks again for the great tasty food that we eat really nice the devilled pork i recommend it.we do enjoy so much their and the pool was a breathtaking and medium hot woow you can stay the whole day night too woow..it was a pleasure staying with you and see you back really soon ..we grade you 2000%. A+. A+.

°Sonja and Bernard are the best. They're so kind, understanding and they do everything they could to make you happy. °The cleaning was done not in two seconds as everybody does in different countries. They cleaned the place like for themselves. °The food was good. °The room was huge. °Everything worked well. °The pool was maintained very well. °I had some probs at work and Bernard and Sonja were so kind to me letting me go one week earlier than planned, they refunded the amount exactly as it was supposed to be. Oh, I'm so touched by these people and their kind hearts. °If you want to relax and you're tired of the city, metropolis noise, hussle and stuff, this place is ideal for you. Or maybe a one-two-three day stay for chilling before going to the next place. I'd never advise any other places but this. You'd never regret it.

I stayed here 4 days after very long flights from the US to recover my sleep. Riverrina is a very quiet and peaceful place to relax. The swimming pool is large, clean and refreshing. There is lots of wildlife on the grounds--such a delight to wake up to the many birds singing. (Listen for the kookaburra!) Ask to look at the Dutch canal and the tree with bees! The staff is exceptional--they always appeared as soon as I came downstairs to see if I need anything. I loved the Sri Lankan breakfast that changes a bit everyday. There are many choices on the buffet. Everything is spotless and well-cared for. Although it is a bit far from the airport, I vote it a perfect place to recuperate from a long flight before experiencing this wonderful country.

Very convenient for a stay after/before an international flight, free taxi transfer. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the AC works well. The place is very nice, lots of nature, very well thought! Thank you so much to the manager and Bernard and helped us with a taxi issue and were extremely friendly and hospitable.

The hostess was so friendly and lovely and took our hearts by storm. Always helpful, manages requests promptly. Always there but very discrete. The garden was the most peaceful and green space we’ve seen. Nicely decorated with plants, perfectly clean pool, nice sun-beads in with a view directly to the lagoon. They always put incense sticks to keep the mosquitos away. It smelled very nicely. Thank you very much for the unforgettable stay!🙏🏻

This was a fantastic place to spend the last day and night before flying out of Sri Lanka. The room is spacious and quiet, the staff is super friendly, the pool is very enjoyable and last but not least the food is very tasty. I felt very well taken care of, with some extra mangoes for breakfast - my favorite fruit! - and a late check-out made possible so I could make use of my room until I had to leave for the airport. I can only recommend this place and will certainly be back if I come to Sri Lanka again.

    Perfect one/two nights on arrival take a tuktuk tour its worth it and last night before you leave. Negombo is 30 mins to the main SRI Lankan Airport, much close than Colombo. Also all hotels have UK plug sockets which is useful

    Its one of my favourite places in Sri Lanka.

    Its one of my favourite places in Sri Lanka. The food places like Prego, Toro pub, Bamboo Kitchen with Shisha, Rodeo are some of the amazing places. The Browns Beach and the people are amazing and loving. Infact Poruthota road has a SPA CEYLON boutique you can use it for mssage rituals from Luxury Ayurveda. Beautiful coastal lines, fsh markets, churches etc. A must visit.

    Most of the hotels and places to stay are on/near the tourist strip. The city centre is a tuk tuk drive away which is full of local people not many tourists. We did a tuk tuk town tour which was fun and nice to see the sights. We did the boat cruise at muthalajewela marsh lands and negomboo lagoon which was great for seeing birds and animals. We did a cooking class which was a great authentic experience. We walked along the beach which was pleasant but the rubbish is ashame, think the rubbish everywhere is a problem which isn't seen back home. The restaurants have western food and few sri lankan options. We found a food stall at night near the dolphin roundabout which did roti...yum chocolate and banana ones they also sold other sri lankan food. Owner was very welcoming. Not sure how price was charged,think probably tourist price and local price but still cheaper than proper restaurant. Overall great way to introduce the family to Sri Lanka...think a lot of people end there trip here. We bought a dialog sim at the airport so we could use apps for transport...pickme app like uber but sri lankan version and better. Also use uber. Tuk tuks aplenty here. The apps are good so you can put in where you want to go and where to be picked up from. Also sim good for what's app as most people use what's app. There are a number of ATM's some charge to use them..commercial bank was free. There is a larger supermarket down one end of the strip, there are a number of little convience store along the road if one doesn't have what you want another will :) By the time we left we had seen all the tourist things to see and do.

    Negombo Beach is a tourist resort strip. Negombo old town, and markets are worth a visit. Express bus from bus station to Colombo 50 mins instead of 2 hrs . 20 mins from Airport , good for a day or 2.

So its the perfect stay to discover Negombo and because its also super close to the airport its the best place to start or end your Sri Lanka Journey. - and you get all of this for a more then reasonable price!

    The staff were amazing. We got there way early but they cleaned our room and within half an hour we we in it. The hotel is so well designed you don't end up walking for days. The bar, the pool. the restaurant are all perfectly positioned. The pool is near the beach and even though it was a windy day we did not feel it at the pool. The breakfast was probably the best I have had in Sri Lanka. The spa was absolutely amazing and we got a 15% discount! I could not fault this hotel - absolute gem of a find.

    The staff was very nice, the room had a good size with a big separate outdoor room with a bathtub. It's max a 10 min walk to the beach and 5 to the main road with shops, bars, and restaurants. We didn't go to the beach but preferred to spend our last night in Sri Lanka relaxing at the pool. It was a nice hotel and location to spend your first or last night in Sri Lanka since it's only 25 min in car from the airport. We left at 4 am and also got breakfast to go.
