The location is very close to the National Park. It is only about 8 minutes by Tuk-Tuk which they kindly organised for both our safaris. Leopard Inn arranged our tour of Wilpattu National Park at a reasonable price and our onward transport. Prathap could not have been more attentive even giving us cushions for our comfort on our safari. Everything was clean, comfortable and worked as it should. The accommodations that we chose were self contained cabins beside a river. Opposite there is some building work at the moment but it did not disturb our peace. We had a take away breakfast which was adequate. The pools are tiny plunge pools and very refreshing after a day's safari

What a wonderful stay we had at Taru Villas. We booked last minute and were greeted warmly by Mark when we arrived. We quickly realised that as it was low season, we had the entire hotel to ourselves! We were upgraded to the best room on the property with a gorgeous jacuzzi overlooking the jungle. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Full board was included in the room price and we enjoyed an outstanding 3 course breakfast, lunch and dinner cooked specially for us by the chef. The key highlight for us was the outstanding service and friendliness of the staff. They couldn’t do enough for us. A lovely touch at the end of our trip was that they had arranged for us to plant a tree in their gardens, and had prepared a beautiful plaque with our names inscribed. It was a truly memorable trip and couldn’t have been any better. I highly recommend to everyone!

We had a wonderful stay at Raalmadu Wilpattu. The safari experience was absolutely amazing, and the natural surroundings made it truly special. The hotel manager, Kuma, took excellent care of us and always made sure we felt welcome and looked after. The room was simple and rustic, but that’s exactly what you would expect in the middle of the jungle — it added to the charm and authentic feeling of the place. The only small downside was that the private pool next to our room wasn’t usable at the time. However, they are currently building a larger pool, and we are sure it will be fantastic once it’s finished. Overall, we can highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique jungle experience with warm hospitality and unforgettable safaris!

Great jungle atmosphere, you literally hear only the sounds of jungle while sleeping. The owner Tarique was amazing, helped us with everything and gave us great tips not only for Safari in Wilpattu, but also for travels around Srilanka. Also, the dinner was to die for, the best one we had in Srilanka. The location is perfect, just a short tuktuk drive away from Wilpattu national park.

Our stay at Wild Wadi Wilpattu was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and incredible service. We had the opportunity to embark on two incredible safaris with the knowledgeable and friendly staff. The wildlife safari was absolutely breathtaking—we were lucky enough to spot leopards, elephants, crocodiles, and so much more in their natural habitat. The boat trip through the mangroves and lagoon was equally magical, offering stunning views and an up-close encounter with Sri Lanka’s diverse ecosystem. The food was simply outstanding—authentic Sri Lankan cuisine at its finest! Both breakfast and dinner were full of flavour, freshly prepared, and truly showcased the best of local dishes. The accommodation was comfortable, well-equipped, and immersed in nature. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle, surrounded by monkeys and wildlife, was an unforgettable experience. It felt like a true escape into the heart of Sri Lanka’s wilderness. What truly made our stay so special was the wonderful staff and the incredibly kind owner, who went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible. Their passion for hospitality and wildlife made us feel right at home. And last but not least—the absolute star of our stay was Duan, the owner’s young puppy. He is, without a doubt, the most adorable and charming little dog we’ve ever met! We enjoyed delicious home-cooked meals, especially the breakfast and dinner, which were full of local flavors. The highlight of our stay was the kayaking, lagoon safari, and camping experiences. Being so close to Wilpattu National Park, we also joined a thrilling safari and spotted incredible wildlife. The resort even has its own island and two camping sites, perfect for adventure lovers. The peaceful riverside setting, friendly staff, and unique activities like fishing, cycling, and boat tours make this place truly special. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway near nature with a mix of comfort and adventure, Wilpattu Nature Resort is the perfect choice!
