The best place to relax and enjoy the nature. We tried Yoga program and Ayurvedic herbal massage in the evening. It is possible to arrange the tour to Robinhood village, Robinhood rock, tea plantations, tea factory, Ayurveda herbal garden. Everything is well organised. I recommend Rocksana Fortress in 100%!!!

We were lucky to get an authentic insight into the real Sri Lanka and the local culture. Our host Prashan was incredibly warm and welcoming – we can highly recommend this accommodation! The accommodation: The room was clean, well-furnished, and equipped with a fan and mosquito net. The small private pool was a real highlight – and all of this at a very fair price. The food: The food was delicious, freshly prepared, and full of flavor. There was a huge variety, and always more than enough. The host: Prashan speaks perfect English, which made communication very easy. He is extremely friendly, helpful, and always there to support with advice and assistance. He really caters to the wishes and needs of his guests, and shares fascinating insights into nature, culture, and everyday life in Sri Lanka. His hospitality is truly impressive. The activities: We went on a TukTuk tour together and visited a breathtaking waterfall, went on a beautiful mountain hike with spectacular views, explored a riverbed, and watched giant bats in the evening. It was a one-of-a-kind experience that we’ll never forget! We felt safe and well taken care of at all times, as Prashan accompanied us throughout and made us feel completely at ease.

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The views have to be experienced in person. Lovely staff that goes above and beyond to meet your needs. They arranged a cooking class for us during our stay which was lovely. Will definitely come back in the future.

Lovely serene grounds with some very new individuals villas - some with a pool and some without. Super clean, nice staff and great location if you drive your own Tuktuk or are happy to book one for transport to Pinnawala (10 mins drive away).

This is a pretty new property located in a privileged area with an incredible view. The rooms are super beautiful as you can see in the pictures. We found it a perfect place to spend the night after visiting the Elephant Freedom Project which is few minutes away. They also have an infinity pool with a great view on the terrace where you can also enjoy breakfast in the morning if weather allows. They also provide dinner/lunch and the menu has a big variety of different kinds of food for a very fair price. We tasted it and it was amazing. The manager was very attentive of our needs and did everything possible to make our stay perfect.

What an amazing place! Everything was superb. From the incredible staff who anticipated my every need, to the delicious food and the variety of activities in the area. I was truly surprised by how wonderful the place was. The property is not only perfect for those who appreciate comfort, but also for those looking to explore the nearby cultural sights. The team at the house went above and beyond to make sure our stay was unforgettable! The attention to detail and warm hospitality truly made our experience exceptional. Thank you so much for an unforgettable stay, and I sincerely hope I can return as soon as possible! We left this hotel with a great impression. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm and welcoming. We were traveling with a child and lots of luggage, and they helped us store everything and checked us in earlier than expected — which was a big help! Our room was clean, spacious, with perfect air conditioning, and a balcony overlooking the river and jungle — with so many elephants in view, it was amazing! The staff also helped us arrange a trip to the nearby elephant village, which was truly unforgettable. For families with kids, I highly recommend this place. There’s a separate pool for children, and the restaurant staff were super friendly, always happy to prepare and heat up meals for our little one. Overall, we felt very well taken care of — thank you for making our stay in Pinnawala so comfortable!

An amazing hotel and an amazing place. From the balcony we had a view of the river where elephants bathed every day, which also provided a lot of attractions. Rooms large and clean. Tasty food in the restaurant. Staff very nice and helpful.

    The town is just a town with shops, supermarket etc.

    The town is just a town with shops, supermarket etc. For food, my tour guide Prashan brought me to Upcountry Restaurant which is a nice place with a beautiful scenery. :) Go for the attractions like Bible Rock, Saradiel Hill etc. They are nice.
