Everything at Ferndale is designed to offer a personal and intimate experience. The small-scale setting and personalized service make the stay truly unique. Ferndale’s philosophy is rooted in nature and respect for the ecosystem. It is a luxury hotel where sustainability and eco-friendliness take top priority. All food is locally and organically sourced, adding to the authenticity of the experience. We also had the opportunity to meet the owner, who shared his vision with great passion and pride, making us appreciate the concept even more. The retreat is located in the breathtaking Knuckles Mountain Range, near Kandy. The untouched nature makes it a perfect destination for stunning hikes, which are thoughtfully organized by the team. Along the trails, you can discover hidden waterfalls and encounter unique endemic wildlife. Lastly, we must highlight the outstanding service and incredible food. The staff goes the extra mile to make your stay unforgettable. The meals are amazing because of the freshness of the ingredients and the dedication put into every dish. Make sure to try the icecream :-)! For anyone who loves nature, tranquility, and warm, personal hospitality, we can wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Location is awesome. Property is right next to a national park and the views are amazing from the balcony as well as the pool. Food was very fresh and lots of choices. Owners + staff are really friendly, had a great stay at this place. Would definitely recommend!!

The property is super clean and well-maintained, with rooms that are better than most 5-star hotels.The Villa felt just right, very quiet when and if you wanted it to be The pool is kept to professional standards, which I really appreciated. It’s an amazing spot for a perfect getaway with plenty of nearby attractions like the Pettigala mountain hike and Victoria Reservoir viewpoint to explore. Rajiva was an excelllent host and guid. We spent here magnificent three days. The surrounding tea plantations and mountains have amazing views. The area is very authentic without many tourists, but with friendly local people, beautiful nature and lot of wild birds. The accommodation is very comfortable, beds as well. The balcony view is the best, we loved good breakfast with this view. The owner arranged for us transport to the next destination. Once again, thanks a lot Rajiva.
