Really really impressed by Ruwan our host/cook/cleaner/pool attendant and all round good guy! The owner's were often around too and couldn't do enough to make our stay as perfect as possible. The swimming pool is a must in tropical humid sri lanka. What beautiful scenery, what a location. Long way from anywhere, so prepare to relax, soak in the abundant nature and read your book ... maybe bring some cards? The daily firefly evening display was spectacular, making the trees glitter like christmas trees ... laze in the pool and look up! In the days it's the eagles with their aerial display, lizards and of course the 'hoppity birds', woodpecker & kingfisher's, coming to assess the suitability of the guests. Swimming in the local river was nice, bit of a shame about the spontaneous viewing gallery though.

What a revelation by reveal! The Location is just Surreal!.. a wonderful place this one is!…One seeking peace and Natural Bliss probably cannot find anything better than this in Srilanka! The service is just First Class,Personal attention at every level and an experience of a bygone Era! The place exudes Charm and Beauty that should only be experienced..Rejuvenate yourself with pure Natural surroundings,A 1922 built Classic with massive Colonial Heritage rooms and a healthy personally tailored food choice to tantalise your tastebuds.. The Manager Damith and team will do everything they can possibly do to make your stay comfortable as they did to me. Do not forget to ask the captain Sandun for whatever you may like for your tastes from the kitchen and it will be served in classic style along with a warm and friendly chat about plethora of topics! My sister and I loved our stay at Aramya Hotel—everything was simply perfect! The staff was beyond kind, always ready to assist and help. We arranged activities like jungle walks, abseiling and rafting through the hotel, and each experience was incredible. Our room was sparkling clean and spacious, with a stunning river view and a lovely balcony. The hotel itself is amazing, featuring a large pool, a beautiful garden, and stunning interior design. We enjoyed all our meals at the property, which offered delicious vegan options—something we truly appreciated. We really appreciated that the hotel provides refillable glass jars in the rooms instead of promoting single-use plastic bottles. It’s a shame we only stayed for two nights; we would definitely love to come back!

Comfortable stay. We stayed here for one night , it was very comfortable, spacious and clean.

This is a beautiful place located in a serene and quite tea estate. You look out onto greenery and it instantly brings you close to nature. There's a beautiful forest of rubber trees close by, and you can take a bike ride or walk though it. The host is wonderful, kind, and hospitable. And they cooked great food. Come here if you want to get away from Colombo for a bit, or need some time in nature.

From the moment we arrived, every single aspect of our stay has been special. This isn't just a hotel; it's a sanctuary. The Welcome & Service: The hospitality here is great. We were greeted with the warmest, most genuine smiles, which immediately made us feel at ease. The staff are the true heart of this place. They are incredibly attentive, professional, and seem to anticipate your needs before you even ask. Every request is met with a "can-do" attitude and a warmth that feels truly special. The Room & Views: Our room is a beautifully designed haven of comfort and style. It's proper and clean, with thoughtful amenities and one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in. And the view... wow! Waking up and looking out over the breathtaking landscape is a magical experience that a photo could never fully capture. The hotel's name, "Ahas Gawwa" (The Horizon), is perfectly fitting. You truly feel like you're floating above the world. Ambiance & Atmosphere: The entire property exudes a sense of peace and tranquility. It's the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The architecture blends beautifully with the stunning natural surroundings, creating an atmosphere that is both luxurious and deeply relaxing. The Food: Every meal has been a culinary delight! The chefs are clearly passionate about what they do, using fresh, high-quality ingredients to create dishes that are both delicious and beautifully presented. We've enjoyed a fantastic array of both local Sri Lankan flavours and international cuisine. Overall: We cannot recommend Ahas Gawwa highly enough. Our 3-night stay has been a dream, and our only regret is that we will eventually have to leave.
